Heh, a couple of weeks ago I was talking to a friend about Sins and we brainstormed our "dream" fourth faction. Our dream faction had a superweapon similar to this, opening a temporary one-way wormhole to any planet which you had units. Didn't know the Kostura was actually getting changed to have this effect, but it should be interesting to see how it planned out, as we actually argued over this one concept for a while.

I have nothing personal wrong with that. Other that it might make finding a game on ICO that much harder. I was just playing devil's advocate like I do in many of my post. As Im sure you know there are 2 sides to everything. If IC makes a toggle button you wont see my raising hell to get rid of it. [e digicons]|-)[/e]

I guess Im one of the few on the forums who love mines despite the problems. I see huge potential! And alot of times I play Devil's advocate, its what I do. If IC decides to give yall a toggle mines. Why not give a toggle starbase? Or Toggle Tatical Structures?? Or Toggle Light Carriers? Or Toggle LRF? Or Toggle Superweapons? IF you want options Im sure someone else wants any number of Toggle off buttons. I know it may seem im being a bit drastic, but Im starbases have had a turbulent
C) Mines are still annoying if someone places at edge of gravity well. Imediate explosion can take out half a fleet and then you have to run.
P.F.E.T.O.M. agrees while annoying, it punishes those who dont scout properly now. You cant blame the mines for user error and proper placement by the minelayer.

P.F.E.T.O.M suggest that you do not blame the mines for user error. Also we suggest you think back to a time where defensive platforms were concider a waste. So, would your toggle also disable defensive platforms?

Its to make sure they are wasting their time with a pirate. You should of sent it. Since SINS has no DRM they have to be able to check if you legit.
Not really, since the mine would only be disabled while there's a scout detection in range. As soon as the scout leaves, the mine is enabled again. Think of it as jamming the mine. If the scout reveals the mine, it's not a far stretch that it can also prevent it from detonating. But as soon as it gets out of range, the mine's good to go again. So, you would still need to progressively clear a mine field, it would just save the jump-in and sh
The movement of the Vasari SB is vastly over-hyped by non-vasari players here. it's NOT that much of an advantage. Yes it increases it's coverage but it's not OP. A well placed starbase doesn't need to move. I like playing all races but as Vasari it is very difficult to take out a star base since they don't have any specialized units to compete with what the other races get.
I as one of those non-vasari players do not think the vasari starbase is overpowered. Yet I stil
