Looks like they removed the multiplayed discussion, demigod references, and the second page (all about demigod MP).
Trigeminal

I suppose I thought it was like people on the cubs board, trade lee and get manny ramirez, c.c. sabathia, jake peavy, and 5 other all stars. Sometimes, people online forget that the real world has real world limitations to what is possible (probable). On a side not, I

Really looking forward to this game. I love the cell shaded design. I am looking for more info and will watch this closely. MoM and X-COM are my two favorite games of all time and I still play them. Nice to see a new remake, I'm hoping for good things from you Stardock. [e digicons]:borg:[/e]
Spartan, I appreciate your thoughts on this topic, but this is just WAY out there. Not only do I think that it is impossible for stardock with 3 small developers to buy EA, but I also think that it is not Brian's plan or desire. Furthermore, Brian would probably openly admit that the stardock business model might not work for a large, publicly-traded company like ea.
so first 2 runs have shown me that my sony vaio isnt up to par... hint: game doesnt run well on laptops
Unfortunately games tend to suck it on laptops if they have any 3D graphics. The integrated cards just don't cut it.
Looks great already, sign me up for the next beta. I know what I will get for my B-day in Feb 2010.
I think I've heard from Stardock/GPG employees that there will be a year of free updates that includes several additional Demigods.
...and additional maps.
EA costs way more than these companies have combined. Let's just hope ea doesn't try to buy out them, or any other decent studio or publisher.
Sure hope not. If it goes that long, then I would expect beta 2, not beta 1next, as they have been promising. Also, I think it would be poor planning by a publisher to have both releases (even if 1 is a beta update) on the same day.
Beta release are supposed to be Thursday, but they discussed moving it to Wednesday so that they would have extra time before the weekend if there was a major problem. My vote for beta 1next is Wed.
NO, I mean Red Alert 3. Go to online now, it is completely dead.
Good, maybe ea will think to build the game on something other than the modified general/BFME engine and release it without the DRM bullshit. Oh, I played it at a friends tonight and it is horrible. Click, click, rush, rush, more units, counter enemy unit type, more unites, over. Wow 10 minutes of no fun per ma
By the way, why the hell no one is playing online? It is about as hard as getting online play in Sins of Solar Empire BETA.
Do you mean in Demigod? Well lots of people play online for the first two weeks after a new beta release. Also, the mine map has the slowdown pathing bug. When the new beta comes out it will be busy and when Demigod gets online matchmaking, then more people will join as well
Also, notice the appearance of the first persistant item.
Everything is really coming together. The polish on this is very nice. Love the tabbed store browsing. Love the new map. Love Oak. Gimme the beta 1next NOW!!! P.S. I'm am very hopeful for a beta 1next release this week on Wed or Thurs. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.
Holy shit, just got back from a drunken [e digicons][/e] halloween party [e digicons]:bebi:[/e] . Of course you post this now [e digicons]:borg:[/e] . A least it wasn't beta 1next. Before I read the article, let me just comment the new map screenshot is amazingly beautiful [e digicons]:inlove:[/e] . You guys are doing great work[e digicons]:digichet:[/e] ! Keep it up!!! P.S.
I was in the beta too. I BARELY played it. Just like C&C3 in my opinion. The units are way over-priced and are way too weak. I hate the whole mentality that is turning RTS games in to action games. I'd much more appreciate supcom style RTS games.
I am also not a big fan of the direction of the c&c franchise. Especially with RA3, there is just to much unit micromanagemen
I was in the beta but honestly I don't see myself buying it. It is a lot of the same thing which might not be a bad thing for some but having played all in the c&c series, I rather spend it on a game that tries something new. The gamespot review made me laugh though. He pointed out more flaws then good things yet still gave it an 8.
I was in the beta, and have owned every c&c game (except renegade, the FPS), and I will
Securom DRM is included. 5 activation limit was the story two weeks ago. It may change, it may not, but they seem to think that it more than generous. I know I don't.
the creeps from a dead general should just become mindless normal creeps having lost their commander
If you do that, you have to allow generals to respawn with a base number in their guard creep or make the creep cheap and quick to respawn.
The flip side of this is that for balancing purposes maybe there should be a big debuff on minions too far from their general, so that they are ridiculously easy to kill - that way they are good for capping and recon but not much else. My reasoning is that if you allowed minions too much power away from their generals then you have a nightmare swarm of minions cleaning up while their five generals sit comfortably in the base...This can

This to me seems like an equitable trade as long as the online activation is fairly seemless and not cuber
