In large game crashes every turn. Tried attaching attaching file with log. but it will not let me what is next step?

Can anyone tell me what causes this crash? I put 15 hours in the game and it looks like It is lost. Is this going to be a continuing problem?

But it is not. Is set to always update and still shows as 1.7 not 1.7B

I have attempted to update to 1.7B, does it show as 1.7B when you load? Only shows as 1.7 and the steam client is not updating even when I change the update settings.

I was playing dark avatar on an XP system plent of disck space 2.8 processor 2 gig of ram with a 500mb videocard radion 2400 when the turn button vanished in the middle of a game. I saved and it comes back and I am unable to advance any further in the game. please advise.
