Some traits suggestion: - Sweep counterattack - grants sweep for the hero, but only for the counterattack, not for the regular attack - Beast slayer - + n attack vs beasts - Inspire - attack with lowered damage, but buffs + n to attack to adjacent allies More to come..
Yea, this is a game for the AI. You are there to entertain the AI.
Heh, so now the only question that remains is WHEN? Should I reserve time after work next tuesday or thursday? ;)
That will be something we decide together.
Okay. Looking forward to the day D, when we shall start deciding ;) Judging by the number of screenshots, the crunch is near!
And BTW quick feedback I liked the spellbooks icons shown in the earlier screens (e.g. Sovereing.png) much better than the current ones (Setupscreen.png). :)
Frogboy, two questions emerge: 1) If I take minors´ city by force, will I be still able to train their unique units? Or only by diplomacy? 2) Earlier, you mentioned available units depend on a way we build our cities. Good. So will there be any hard restrictions, like mutually exklusive buildings? I.e. going through the mounted units building tree prevents you from going through after the pikemen? Or is there a soft counter, like increasing cost of opposite bui
BTW going through the screenshots, its great that units wont be only individual figures, but still also larger squads! Hope we will see the epic battles from original E:WOM, like this one: http://www.spacesector.com/blog/2010/08/elemental-war-of-magic-released/ :)
Remember, E2015 hasn't been officially announced yet.
Definitely. And the "4X 4X" is a typo I think :)
Cool! Looking forward to some gameplay video, or the EA itself!
Some of those screenshots said
Tsss, that was known already, if you were watchful enough ;)
Allright. Let us hope for more sneak peaks in the vault, then ;)
Just wanted to check, what's the latest image you have?
Yeah, its still the Gilden one. It is safe to assume, we are days away from the early access? Looking forward to this :)
Not so much in my game. Dead set to ridiculous (rest of AIs being expert) and they totally own the field, destroying Pariden and Capitar in the progress. Now they arriwed to take on my Altar kingdom and I tell you, their armies are a pain in the a**, with all those banshees. Epic game BTW!
Diplomacy new features?
Can anybody tell me, what happened with the bigger squads sizes?
Enjoy your holiday! And before you set sail, do not forget to fill the vault(s) :)
This patch was almost entirely done by Brad, which is awesome. But some things were reverted because they didn't work well. The spell for example was having some problems. Brads terrain changes are in for less flat terrain but the epic mountains he had were reverted because they blocked the player from seeing things behind them. Which is a shame because Brad's mountains did look better, but it was frustrating for players who would lose
Are the food/production/logistics numbers changeable, i.e. we can assign population between them, or they just a static info? BTW wehere is population/level information, after all? Graphically beautiful, I am just afraid of too much steamlining...
P.S. I definitely agree that accessories giving bonuses to certain classes (aka +10 attack for Warrior, +5 crit for Assasin) is more interesting solution than hard class restriction.
Derek, can we get also more information on the bigger squads and other stuff elaborated by Frogboy? The patch looks great so far!
That's intended. The parts not yet ruined by the bad guy are pretty, lush, etc. But his areas are...well, you'll see.
Cool! Can´t wait gettin more familiar with the menace :)
I have to say that after going through the vault documents, I am very interested! This is precisely the epic clash feeling that LH misses and it seems to be great fun! Also, I have noticed from most of the screenshot, the graphics are rather lush, fairy-taleish...have you considered more dark, gothic theme, since we are facing the great evil one? Or will it be a contrast with the lush green, as he starts consuming the world? :) You made your long time and devoted customer feel
(i) What scale will the game have? Precisely, what will be the size of units & city population? The same as LH, i.e. cities featuring hundreds of people and armies tens (hundreds with 1.7?) of soldiers? I really, really, really hope we won't be facing the great evil one with nine guys in our vast army, though visually crafted :) (ii) Will the game's setting be more dark, miserable, as the evil stalks the la
I tried to order but can't it tells me a state is required and I live in Canada. Provinces are not listed. WTF
The same for me. Maybe I should list as Armed Forces Europe? :) Apart from that, the eshop seems to deny my card. Never happened to me before, anyway, will try my different one... Looks like Stardock doesn´t want new business ;) (joking)
I'd love to find a better unrest system for 4x games.
How precisely didi you implement this? I was looking forward to bandits as a feature that would make unrest even more interesting and vital... Also, it would represent a natural buffer vs. single stack of doom blitzkrieg, i.e. you conquer enemy city, almost inevitably rebels spawn, you cant proceed unless cleaning them or leaving strong garrison behind.
Bandits not fun? How did that happen? Was looking forward to this...
