The first thing you have to look at is the size of your image. Is it small to begin with? Are you blowing up an image, or restoring it to its original size. If you start with an image, say 256px x 256px, and shrink it to 72x72, it will still look decent. This is because all the computer has to do is remove some redundant pixels. If you give the option of resizing it to 256, the image looks crisp because that is the original size of the im

I'm trying to figure out controller scripts for DX and I'm running in to a problem. I can't get DX to recognize anything but right clicks on my widget. I've tried this code to test it out. It only produces a message box when I right click, not when I left-click or double click on the widget. Sub Object_OnScriptEnter<

DesktopX doesn't skin the taskbar or browser windows. Those are handled by WindowBlinds. You can buy WB here: https://store.stardock.com/addproduct.asp?PRODUCT_ID=ESD-SDS-W073&REFERER=ExodusCrow or purchase ObjectDesktop (a whole suite of programs) here: https://store.stardock.com/addproduct.asp?PRODUCT_ID=ESD-SDS-W011&REFERER=ExodusCrow Hope this helps

Would be possible to have DX save previously exported widget/gadget information? Currently it only saves the last exported widget in the registry. Could this be done easily with an XML file that would save multiple widget preferences? It would save information such as: Name, author, path, icon, version, etc, and could be accessible when you export a widget/gadget. I envision a combo box titled "Previously exported widgets", with a list of widgets. Sele

A while ago, somebody sent me a screenshot of a cool looking desktop. Several Google searches later, I discovered it was created using a program called "DesktopX". After some more searching I found my way over to deviantArt, which led me to hear. Browsing this site I found out about WindowBlinds, Sysmetrix, OD, and many other great programs. It was only last year I purchased the ODNT package (I got tired of the nag screens <img src="http://images.stard

I could really use some resources on WMI BakerStreet, the basics of WMI are quite simple. You'll just need the tools to search through your WMI. The first one is wbemtest.exe, found in your system32/wbem/ folder. You can find some information on the Microsoft website here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet

Vatan: looks like a DX widget. I'm guessing CoreWeather or SlickWeather by _Martin_. Check out this link for some weather objects in the DX library https://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=34&view=1&sortby=5&sortdir=DESC&p=1&advanced=0&searchtxt=weather

A simple question. Do the download counts/purchase numbers show up for gadgets that have a price attached to them on the site? I've noticed that only gadgets that are free have been downloaded. Is anybody buying?

Dirty Tom Rackham You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr! I shower every day. I swear!
