My parents couldn't get anything higher than 24k until I finally convinced them that the problem lay in their wiring and not the fact that they live out in the middle of nowhere. Finally, my mother got fed up of the cable company's empty promises of cable-modem service, and did just that - had all of the phone wiring redone, inside and out - now she's cruising along happily at 50k. Not bad for somebody living in the middle of nowhere! But me, I'll stick with the cable. ^_^<

Wow - Okay. I downloaded the 4286 beta driver - and.. wow. I can use shadows and transitions (In 'good' mode, no less,) at the same time. Whee! Great - now if somebody will just edit the .inf file so it will install on their mobile chipsets... I'm running 4109 and the performance is /utterly/ abyssmal with the 4 in my notebook.
