Or WinACE even. That's the one I tend to use - opens nearly anything.
kthxbye
Frogboy! I've been reading here and other places long enough to know you're a reasonably intelligent guy - therefor you should know that polls are utter BS! In fact, I can quote from today's issue of the post (er, the Washington Post,): "On Iraq, which is likely to dominate political discourse in the coming months, the president has slipped but still has relatively high support. Fifty-seven percent of Americans back military action, down from 62 percent in mid-December; similarly, 50
The last time I took geometry was my freshman year of high school - and I remember barely sliding my way past it. Trig and Pre-calc (which I took for all of half a semester in HS before dropping,) were laregly the same way. No matter how hard I tried, I simply couldn't grasp them. Somehow, I remember BSing my way into an A for the Trig. course too. O.o <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" bor
I'd be too scared of trying college calculus - although I guess I'll have to get beyond that hurdle, since I'm considering going back to school to study civil engineering. Assuming I can ever get past the freshman algebra hurdle. Kept me from getting a degree 10 years ago!
Aroo? Now I've got to get off my butt and take a lot at this! I've DLed the new SS and installed it - but have yet to look.
I offer mine - the 100% guaranteed money back guarantee wasn't very guaranteed.
I'm not sure about the size issue - but I would think of maybe lowering the number of wallpapers included with it - and maybe offering the animated shortcuts as an additional download?
*snickers* Our analyses indicate that your Intellectual Type is: Visual Mathematician. This means that among other things, you have superior skills in mathematics and spatial reasoning. I can't buy it. I'm the person who's mind, even after taking it /three/ times and having countless tutors, can't even begin to comprehend 90% of college level algebra for some reason. ^_^ <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
Oh - if you're still curious: http://www.vim.org/
Text editor originally from the unix world. It's been around... forever. It's easy, but not for the faint of heart. ^.^
Well, the only different usually between say, a .txt, .me or a .nfo is the extension. ^_^ I tend to just use a generic text format when I need something, extensions vary depending on my mood or what it's for - but I do most of my work in vim.
I bought one of those tinfoil hats, they swore it would protect me from the alien mind control rays - but it didn't! I got ripped off! It turns out it wasn't tinfoil at all either! And of course, when I tried to get my money back, they just sold my email address to other mailing lists!
Hrm - well, there's no arguing witht the feline! I have to agree 100% with that!
Well, when you run around coating stuff in chocolate...
Mmmmm, chocolate covered java beans... *drools* Eep! Got distracted there.
We need more hypnotic emoticons! Now - if you'll excuse me... I strangely have this irresistable urge to send more money to Stardock... O.o
Oooh - a rather hypnotic emoticon if you stare at it for long enough. ^_^
I just guessed at that one (the poll!) I hope I got it right!
My nightmare: running X apps. *nix may be, as a whole, more stable than Windows - but my X apps all crash /way/ more often than my individual Windows apps!
Aleksyandr's tutorial is great - I've got the offline copy of it kept on both of my systems (and someday, maybe someday, I'll actually finish doing a skin for... well, anything. =D)
Style? Styl. Man, I'm so not awake.
Nope - sorry Hagens - if there's anything that can be done, nobody knows about it yet! Now - I think I'll be stunned by the fact that I not only remembered the cause of that little problem - but that I was able to remember it so early, before I've had any coffee! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.g
*blinks @ Style* "Have you ever seen a unix machine crash?" "No never." Gah! Haven't run many unix boxes, have you! =D Yes, Unix, and even Linux is fairly stable - but no, it'll still crash on you - especially linux. For desktop reliability, I'd rather sit in front of my XP (or better yet, 2K) box than my linux one any day. Hrm - but that's straying from the original intent of the thread! ^_^ <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&Ne
This has been mentioned before - let me see if I can remember exactly what happens. It has something to do with the way Windows and Windowblinds interact together. When you switch to the 'classic' skin - windows resets your taskbar down to the default size - and Windowblinds, or at least Windows, resets to classic every time WB loads, or you change your skin. ^_^ I hate this too - since I keep a double-high taskbar. Anybody - feel free to correct me! I think I got the gist
