I was thinking the same thing. Keep up the work dude. Its out freaking standing.

I like the code names you gave the advent caps.
I noticed with the novalith if you drop below 8 labs it no longer works.
The MAC works in the same way ass the guass platforums. It uses 23 super conductive coils to shoot a round ranging from 600 metric ton round at 30,000ms from a capital ship. The super macs in prnit fire a 3000 metric ton round at 40% the speed of light. In the fall of reach it was able to not only priece the shields of a have covenaut cruiser but pass throught it and hit another target.
Okay now it makes sense! By the end of the war they will have twisted themselves to the point of becoming unrecoginizable killing machines living only to destroy, bloodthirsty murderers waiting in the dark. Also the victor probably won't be human because that thing chasing the Vasari will come and destroy everyone! My guess is that it's Gravemind, you know because of the "I am a monument to all your sins" stuff.
Damn, now I got to sit throught another halo g
I think it would be nice if the TEC and Vasari unit voices have a more radio quality to them (i.e. static and/or subtle cross-channel chatter) so that the player feels as if he's actually relaying commands from a command post. As for the Advent units, these voices can still have the "ethereal" feel since they communicate in a more "higher-level."
What gets me is not so much the female voice acting but the fact they sound like evil little ghost girls.
Maybe they could add in some escape pod system. The crew would be able to escape but need other ships them up. The ships would need to be near the cap that goes down. So you can move them to another cap, or to a friget (if no caps around). In the case of the friget you would be required to move the crew back to your nearest planet. (unless your in your grave well already). You would still take time to upgrade, but you would not need the battle exeperiance to do
I must say this is a pretty good story. The tec seem a little weak, but as you said newbies in command. I like to compare the tec to the humans in the HALO universe, in that they are vastly out classed but their vast numbers and tatics can help. In sins you face things like phase missles of the vasari and the shields of the advent, much like the shields and plasma missles the halo aliens have. The TEC have very strong armor points, much like the humans. Your
I would like to have some more voice acting. Maybe some different charactor models as well. How about some female commander avtars for the tec. Maybe the different computer factions could have a different voice for each faction (that is to say if you have two vasari factions they would each have their own actor). Then the advent, I don't even like playing them since they all sound like some evil little ghost girl from japanes horry flick. Maybe we could get so
Here is my idea: Mitigation should be a function of how many ships you have in the gravity well. Let's say its (#ofshipsfiringatyourship)(#ofshipsyouown)/(someconstant). That way if you have a single capital, it won't be mitigated so your enemy can kill it. But if you have multiple ships, they have to kill some of them through general fleet vs fleet fire before it becomes effective to single out the capital ship. <br /
I think I agree, we up the mitigatio/survivability then also make the DPS much better. So far the only thing about the caps that feels correct is early game or when your seiging a planet with one.
hmm problem in increasing cap ships starting fighters lies in balances, you'll get 3 fighter squadrons per capital ship... atleast all capital ships "but the carrier" will need some serious antifighter guns to make it even again (otherwise everyone starts with carriers) good idea.. but like i just said... other cap ships need some serious anti-fighter capability, whilst the carriers should get it minimum, .. #1 for increasing fighter popularity, and #2 to show bombers arent
Capitals could have a fixed amount of 0-6 squadrons depending on the ship and their other weaponry could be adjusted accordingly. Or rather the effectiveness of the strikecraft could scale like the ships weapons as the pilots also gain experience.
Okay now that sounds like a good idea. I never really thought that the ships got bigger, but more along the lines that they were able to get more pilots and planes as the crew better proves their worth to the emp
I will agree that is a pretty decent break down. With this figures, it sounds like they more closly match a modern day carrier. However, at the lowest of levels a capital carrier should still have more strike craft then the friget. So I would say 4 sqauds start and then work our way up to 10.
Oh, and Epic wouldn't release GoW 2 on PC because of the "ramapant piracy" Well guess what, Epic? http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/gears-of-war-2-leaked-on-torrent-sites Looks like your deicison failed hard.
The ramapa piracy tha only let them sell another 1.5 million gears copies for the pc. Other then the hard core fans that wanted the extra levels I don't see how they could have sold much more. Consider
I can't say I have been on a carrier but I have seen pictures of that exercise they do in the pacific every year. And I am impressed by that.
Allow me to give a slight history lessons about Cap ships. With a few well placed torpedoes and bombs (from strike craft mind you) in a few battles at the Solomon Isles In WWII the USS Enterprise was temporarily put out of commission at least twice (maybe more missed those episodes of Battle 360) due to heavy damage and keep in mind that this was Real Life Focus Fire as the carriers were the primary targets. This is a prime example of how your strategy determins the face of
After all, the frigate is there for a reason. It is less expensive, yet offers strike craft ability. Usually just the thing in the beginning of the game for me, when i have a mothership, to cruisers for guard and a strike craft ship to even out my beginning fleet. Usually i dont count scouts as i build 3 or 4 and then send them out to explore, so they really are not a contributing part of the fleet.
Don't get me wrong, the friget is wonderful but I can have 3 of them fo
What I would like to see is it worth having super carriers. Having say 10 sqauds sounds good but how easy is it to destroy a cap ship? If we could fix the focus fire cap ship problem, and then bring the strike craft numbers on the light carries back down again. Next we up the sqaud count for carriers. If this could happen would finally have a capitalship that makes the statement that the real world carriers do. I would love to see a "real" carrier task
EA, Ubi, and Epic have all been black listed. ID software is perhaps the only big name that is not on my black list yet.
Maybe i should word this more as a "defend lock" command so unless it is unlocked they stick close to their escortie rather than following other orders.
Now there is the answer.
I like this escort idea. Lets say you have your fleet. (I am going to use the vasari since I like them the best) So lets say you have your fleet, It has 3 caps 1 carrier, and 2 others of your choice. 20 Enforcers, 20 assailants 7 Overseer 10 Transporter 7 Subverter, 6 sentinal? (flak) What if you could assine 2 overseer and 2 flak to your caps, 2 of each to your Enforcers and then the rest can free floa
I have come accross a lot of girls in FPS. But not so much the other games. Its not reflexs but the fine hand control that gives them the edge. To give a real world example go to any place that builds circuit boards. More often then not you will find women are better at soldering then men. Not only do they tend to be better but there is much more of them that are good at it. At the same time when it comes to jobs say such as being an engineer you find the numbers hav
I was thinking more alone the lines of "oh hell, its one of those marzas...."
They should be feared as a mighty force on the battlefield.
Yes, thats how it should be. But as some one else noted, it should be the forward weapons that should be feared, or in the case of some of the tec ships the broad side weapons would be something to avoid.
