I just got my 'free invite to beta' I haven't even played, yet, but the letter alone has me cheering with renewed faith in developers. I met Brad at PAX where he was talking about his upcoming game 'Elemental Magic' I was totally caught up in the enthusiasm and vision that he had for the game, I think I watched the full 45 minute presentation twice, and with all the cool things to see at PAX, that should say a lot. <p

Hello, I'm attempting to buy the Limited Ed. box, but when I get to the check out on pay pal, Instead of an order confirmation, I get a message that says that I need to have purchased the Pre-Requisite in order to buy the box... which I understand... I'm loving it, even in the pre .07 patch state, that said... I crashed regularly, and noticed several 'near' game breaking bugs... inspite of it all, I pulled an all nighter, ending up (because of having to work and all,) staying up for 33 hours straight, I blame the addictive nature of the game for my all night 7 hour Binge. heh. BUT! if you want polish - WAIT 3 to 6 months! if you know your getting a beta, and ok with it, the StarDock Track record speaks for it'self as

Naw... I don't think 'not ever pre-ordering' is the right answer... in the case of this game, pre-orders allowed them to continue developing on it... I've put many hours into the retail release of this game, and it's I agree in my opinion it was released way to early (as in WTF kind of early...) but - that said I have 100% faith that it will grow into the polished game that I dream of. I had heard a friend talk about Elemental, however I didn't get Exited about it till PAX 09 (in september,) when I listened to a passionate Brad Wardel talk about his game, that pretty much sold me on it.

I loved the presentation! I was currious about Elemental before I went to the PAX Presentation - but after it I'm PASSIONATE about it! Good job on stoking the flames of enthusiasm. I believe that I pre-ordered this at PAX, I'm quite sure that I associated it with my current Impulse account, but when I log in, I don't see it listed as a pre-order. (I got the Sins Expansion too, but don't see that listed either.)
