Norton Internet Security 2009 is a slick lean antimalware machine. The 2008 version worked really well too. It would be a great world if people stuck to RECENT facts when trying to help out, rather than express their opinion on the several years old version of some software they used and hated. Read some reviews on the latest norton suite, and you'll quickly see a trend of really impressed people. As for ESET, I think it's a mature and good suite. But it's lagging behind
I tried to change my login image to something wintery, and ran into a weird errormessage when applying. So I reinstalled logonstudio and I could switch the image just fine. What's really odd is that the next time I start logonstudio, it brings up the errormessage again, and I need to reinstall to make it work. It always works fine the first time I run it, and then fails to apply the next time. The Errormessage (in swedish I'm afraid since I use a swedish OS): ************** Un
I understand your reasoning here, but in all honesty a lot of these companies realize they make more money off business licenses and not home user licenses.
Hardly... They might make *most* money off business licenses, but I really doubt home user sales are negligible. If they really had realized it, they'd offer the FULL versions of their products free for home use. The whole point with the free versions is to
Anyone can be a skinner. All it takes is making a skin, it doesn't even have to look nice. :) You could talk to the stardock design crew, they make custom skins. Requests are rarely done for free though, because it takes a huge lot of work to make a skin. And my own experience with cutstomizing peoples computers is that anyone doing a free request expect just as much perfection as those who pay good money for it... From an artistic point of view it's way better for a s
I'm like.....
Where's the evidence that a game without DRM get pirated more than one with? The one and *only* thing DRM has ever done is delay the piracy for a few days and cause problems on some computers.
No dog to click on available on my stardog page here... :(
It's not a clue, it's just pointing at stardock and stating a (mostly) true fact... It can mean pretty much any page anywhere... :)
I'm really suspicious to everything called "free", since they all have versions that is not free. Every serious test out there is on the commercial packages, not the free ones...
It was fun playing the game and I don't give a rats ass about the
I assume you didn't type in the secret word and your accountname then?
To have a shot on being first you need a reliable internet connection with low ping against all the included stardock sites. It also needs to be blazing fast... On the off chance that you actually have all those things, you also need to be well versed in stardock products and somewhat smart about interpreting the clues... If you finished the clues later than 5 minutes past noon, you were not the first correct answer. And it IS more fair, regardless of you being greedy or not.
This experiment got terminated early because the harddrive failed (physically). It worked pretty well up until I got the dreaded "harddrive clicketyclickclockblonk"-noise. ... ... Just a silent moment in the memory of the old harddrive that was in it... If anyone would happen to be curious, it's a Western Digital WD1200BB... Dated 18 Aug 2002... I think these had a rep of being a bit unreliable? Can't really fault this particular drive though, it has
The rules have changed. It's not about being first, it's random among all who get the secret word right now... It's more fair to everyone that way. Best of luck to everyone :)
If it's a new PC you won't be able to use the AGP card. But disregarding from that fact, AGP is limited in bandwidth, so I would think any PCI-E card would be better.
WebGiz, Try [link="http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/en.id.1207-toycon-lefreut-launchers.htm"]ToYcon[/link]. Allows easy conversion of images. :) I encountered a bit of instability running winstep, haven't really dug into the source of the problems yet... But it's quite an impressive suite. :)
I totally agree with your KISS attitude, it's definitely the way to go. Fences is totally useful exactly as it is. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing that I really feel is lacking is localization (As the context menu gets cluttered). Any other added features are just icing on the cake. :)
Installed Fences B2 today, and I can't do anything else than love it... It's a definite choice for my top 5 most used desktop utilities list (hmm, I should make one of those lists, just for kicks...)! :p I agree with the previous requests, it would be nice. I also have an addition. It would be sweet to be able to disable the icon labels within a single fence. And finally a question; Since this integrates with the contextmenus, will we get localization support?
So how do you gain ranks?
Behave, assist, contribute, be noticed and seen in a positive light... Is the Karma stardock wide (spanned over all the linked sites that is..)?
Put a windowblinds exclusion on cygwin-X apps.
People use stardock software? I had no idea!!! ;p My computer is the envy of all my friends... They're too cheap to buy something that is "visual only" (that's their interpretation, not mine). Some have asked me to install (with MY serial... How dare they...) on their system... I'd be happy to do it, but when I say I'll have to keep their computer (because I can only install on my own computers :p ) everyone has changed their mind this far... :)
Make *sure* you have version 1.01[b].024 (or later). I had to reinstall impulse to get the update. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]
As I posted in another thread too, it works for me too! :)
As of 1.01[b].024 it DOES work! for me!! Go stardock team! You make me happy. :)
Hmm, interesting, I'll take a look at it for sure. Cash is tight this close to xmas though. :)
