Thanks for the comments ViViDGear. With respect to the visual effects I was only referring to the effects from the items. For example, there is some kind of a rod that gives you a lightning bolt spell. Whenever I cast the lightning bolt I don't remember it being anything special, there was another item that did area damage around you (I think it is the 8000 item at relic shop, not the mage slayer though) and I don't think I even saw an effect, I guess I will need to go bac
I will have to try it when I get home but from memory it shows it on the right of the screen only when I hover over the flag. Maybe I missed something! I think all of the contextual information shows on the right side of the screen.

So I bought Demigod yesterday and played probably about 7-8 games. Out of the 3 games I played online (Pantheon) 2 of them had everyone but me and one other person leave after about 10-15 min. It was a real dissapointment and something that I had hoped to get away from coming from DotA. There is a wiki out there that anyone can contribute to (see here ) but it is neither complete nor organized very well (IMHO). The thing is that I want to be able to get a feel for the characters, or see the items side by side with the skills/upgrades so I can plan out my Demigod. I have only read a few reviews and to be honest I don't really care about the tutorials/etc. I played a lot of DotA, all the way back to the beginning, and there were never tutorials then, you just had to experiment [e digicons]:P[/e] . Now though the DotA wiki has all of the details you could ever want and sometimes it is nice to see all of the abilities at a glance in order to determine strats/etc. I was just wondering if they (Stardock/GPG) had any plans to create an off
I realize that this question *might* belong in the strategies section but... does Stardock/GPG have any plans to release a full on guide for all of the skills/abilities? I don't own this game yet but I am VERY interested. It kind of turns me off though that it seems like this area is really lacking. The forums have some information but they are lacking in consistency. The DotA wiki is freaking amazing and so helpful.
