The OP is simply retarded. Muslims dont hate American because they Christians. Or else they would hate every other country that isnt completely muslim. Muslims hate America because they have declared a "war on terror" and have invaded muslim countries and supported movements such as the ones of Israel. And now that Obama has started cleaning both those topics up, Muslims are starting to like America. Coincidence? I think not. I think people hate America becaus

The thing is, if you make a game for the competitive scene - it can still easily please the casual scene. However, you cannot make a game aimed at the casual players and sastify the competitive players. Thats always been Blizzards philosophy when it comes to games, and its worked out very well indeed.
Kudos to Frogboy for admitting the mistakes but you still have to wonder...with a pure multiplayer game what the hell were Stardock/GPG smoking when they designed the chat/lobby system? Its by far one of the worst i've ever encountered. For something so intergral to be let out in such a state means there are some serious questions that need addressing about both the design system in place -and- testing phases. Game sites like MS Zone from 10 years ago were more polished.[/qu
You step in the pond to heal and it has exactly the same effect as the hp crystal. However this is literally DotA with better graphics. Its a rip-off. It suffers from the same problems of DotA: Community which KILLS new players Barrier of Entry is a joke. If you want to play this game, you must be ready to get constantly flamed and raped for months The fact you said you think the only way to heal is via HP pots doesnt make your impression that reliable
Why was he banned in the first place? Seems pretty outrageous if he was banned for the thread on pre-arranged teams...
Quote from Frogboy:
If there's a typical daily population of say 2000 Demigod players and of that only 100 of them are "pre-arrange teams" it doesn't really make sense to spend a lot of resources to cater to those 100 people. Instead, the effort should be made to make it easier for the other 1900 players who just want to have a good fun game.
He is talking about pre-arranged teams and such in this quote. He says that more people want to play without pre-arranged
Sedna Yeti's actually arent bad if you do it with a full minion build and use it properly. However its pretty stupid to get them because basically every other skill you can put points in is twice as good as Yeti's.
Just open up notepad and type in the name of those people you dont want to play with...
Hahaha this is hilarious. People are so used to Stardock updating us nearly everyday and giving us patches every week or so that when they dont say anything for a week or two we have been "abadoned" and "they dont care about us". I wonder how people would have dealt with Kanes Wrath. 2 patches given over a period of about 2 years or so? We have had 12 over 3 months. (I know, lots were hotfixes - but soooooooo many RTS games dont even get this hotfixes released as fast as Stardock).
Replays are currently broken and dont work 95% of the time (they freeze after about 10 mins).
I'd have to say those rules aren't for 'Casual' players or 'Non-Experts' - they're for people who don't like to play Rush Games or Nuke Fests and there's nothing wrong with that.
I've never seen a good player who has played with "no rush" in RTS games. Its a "casual"/"noob" rule - end of story.
Just to clarify guys patches hasnt been the problem with Demigod so far. Twelve have been release so far. Most games would have released perhaps 2 (sometiems even 1) patch after 3 months. The problem is it has taken 12 patches for Demigod to be half-functional.
Warpstone needs 0 cast time and about half the price. Otherwise anyone who wants this ability will just choose Cloak of Night.
The warpstone absolutely destroyed the game when it was cheaper in the beta. It cost like 3 or 3.5k and it was absoletly the most OP item in the game (or one of). I would rather it was useless then as it was before.
Ive seen boulder stun and rain of ice do some random damage. Even on maps which have no damage flags.
We are still in need for a few more Strategy Specialists. You'll get a shiny badge and some board powers if you get the position :D
Its not consumed on use. And the worst I have had with this is just nothing happens (like the old Sedna bug). Never been stuck there for 10 seconds and killed because of it... When your used to it you can avoid getting bugged so much.
Yea this item can be a bit buggy :\
Welcome to the first Underused Item of the Week. Every week gamereplays.org will be picking one item we think is special. This week we shall be discussing one of my personal favourites - The Sludge Slinger.....
You can view the article here. Thoughts?
It's interesting to see how people were perfectly willing to use the same data when it was only 1 of the 8 servers to show that the game was "dead" but when we sum the # of users on all the servers it's suddenly impossible.
Howcome though EVERY match I hosted showed up? Not 1/8th of them..? Still I dont see why people are saying the stats are wrong?
23K out of 150K is 15%...
Indeed :D
but look at the "Top Players" stats....there are only 23.000 players registrated in Costum/Ladder games....I cant believe that the sales are true...
Stats are messed up and in general only like 1% of people who play games play then online. But DG is a bit more multiplayer orientated so it has a solid 5%.
Replays didn't come with games that are ten years old.
Age of empires had replays...
Hmmm.... What is one of the most basic features for a RTS, already half in, was used in the SupCom engine (which Demigod uses), came with games that were 10 years old , has stopped this game from flourishing as much as it could have earlier on, and been constantly asked for since release? Replays. Geez....how on earth is this still not in the game 2 and a bit months after release....? How on earth was it not in WITH release? What we
There wont be a Demigod 2 :P They are going to update this game so much they are basically going to change into Demigod 2. Thats probably still a while away though.
Online Features are still very, very poor. Connectivity has definately improved which is good - you shouldnt have much trouble starting a game up.
