Aye, I know that. I meant the final player. Maybe it was a second DC, in which it killed your connection to him?
Doubt it. There was no d/c screen or anything. Still. Its been what, 2 and a bit months after release and stats are still fucked?
DalzK
The disconnect made lots of people leave - but not everyone. When I say it "Forced" them I dont mean it was optional - the game made them.
Seems if someone disconnects, it can still disconnect other players. My guess, DalzK, is that someone left and their leave killed your connection. Thus, counting it as a DC for you and all the players in your game turned to AI, thus ending the game.
There was one disconect, which forced half the people to leave. That left me and one opponent which I was beating. He then quit, I was given the victory screen, and the game ended. How can stat tracking still be so p
Yea someone Disconected. However it was pretty unclear as to who was disconnecting/quitting. All what I know is that I didnt quit and I never lost, and so stats are still broken.
Games still dont report properly? Another Epoch of false stats? http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/667373/player/13443/
Basically now if everyone quits (or clicks concede, which keeps them in the game btw until every clicks it) you get the win instead of having to play an a.i for 20 mins ;)
You dont have to learn how to play with 100 heroes :)
If you consider having 3.2k online at one time "dead" then yes, Demigod is very dead :)
Can you please explain to me the importance of replays? I am more interested in more maps/demigods/content
Replays are needed for: Successful Competitive Scene VoD's Sharing Strategies Helping noobs learn how to play Getting new/old players to start playing the game. And more... Anyway. I would love new Demigods and maps but they take months to make. Replays are already half in and are MUCH easier to implement then maps and Demigods
Crucible is simply a shit map :)
So Demigod has been out for over 2 months now and replays are still not in. SupCom had a replay feature and Demigod is based off the same engine - dont ask me why its taking them over 2 months to implement them. On top of that, they are already half in so they just need polishing and its done. From what I have read, Replays will not be in v1.1. Thats just really unacceptable imo. Replays should have been in at the very start and not put on a things to do list because things like c
The problem is describing the gameplay to someone not familar with DOTA. At a glance it can be confusing and not overly intuitive to work out how it works - ie utilising your own creeps vs theirs etc. if you just take your time to play a game or two and you still dont understand how the game works then you are fail.
Cool no mention of replays
Polynomial has kindly written up two pretty interesting Articles. Head 2 Head (comparison between two starter helms) Demigod's Most Useless Items Enjoy :)
I have made an awesome quick tutorial for you guys. I cant believe myself that Stardock/GPG havent included one for this game - its a joke! How are we meant to learn how to play it? Click to move your Demigod. You can select him by clicking him. When you kill anything - except for minions - you get money and experience (except from towers). Items cost gold. To buy them, visit the shop and click on the item you want. If you have enough gold, you will re
If you need a tutorial to play this game then you dont deserve to play it :D
Just want to point out again I made these points one month ago, and so think differently on them. However its still open for discussion.
I do declare, what is the word on the street nowadays? There was some phrase I recall that quite adequately summed up the traditional rebuttal to the Original Poster's post. Now what was it... Oh yes! "Cry some more, noob!!"
Actually its called intelligent discussion to help balance the game. But I
[minion icon] x 4
Agreed
Yea have to agree a toggle is definately needed. Im sure GPG could fiddle around with this and optimize/polish it before patching it in :)
This thread is a month old btw :)
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355788 You can view Bmans UI mod there and get more info/download it. This is bascially a petition to get it officially in. Im sure if everyone wants it in GPG/SD wouldnt mind officially patching it in :) Just type a, "+1" if you want this in. +1
Yea. Seeing the enemies mana would really mess gameplay up :)
Bman's UI or something like it to be implemented.
100% Agreed.
So replays will be a high priority after v1.1 or for v1.1? Either way im happy you guys have taken it seriously :D
Maybe if you guys had a "mod" competition. Release a toolkit or something similar so those pro modders out there (they do exist) can give it a shot, and get people to make Demigods. Then pick the best 6 or whatever and add them in. The winners could recieve a cash prize or some type of bonus. Basically you would be getting extra activity and free extra Demigods. Now I dont how viable it is to just say "release a modkit for making Demigods" so I may be talking out my ass here.
