I also have this problem see: http://forums.impulsedriven.com/348626 No help from support, problem just being ignored. Demigod is the only program that has a problem. Both Supreme Commander (GPG) and Sins of the Solar Empire work fine. All the drivers are up to date. My device is set up as a default. Tried removing and reinstalling both drivers and Demigod.
I think it's a bit assasine for them to say the fans don't know how to use 3dsmax and tile textures. Quake3, UT, hl where sucessful largely from this.
I could not agree more. Don't underestimate the modder community. Just open Demigod up and give us the specifications. Don't worry about the tools. I think Demigod's real success will be in the long term. The modder community is the only weapon to sustain that, other then charging people micropayments for micro
The built in multiplayer match making in Demigod is still a travesty IMO.
You do not know how much respect you just earned from me with that comment.
The developers should add a feture where after a game everyone are back in the hosts game lobby instead of creating a new server and waiting again...
I like this idea. It allows for a map change if teams to decide if they want another round or players can invite their friends to fill the missing slots of those that left the game.
I love playing Sedna. It's just difficult to level up if you spec her as a pure healing class. There needs to be a way to get experience points from healing.
Even though each unit is individually balanced they are still ultimately class based. It would be really boring if they were not. As an extreme example: A team of all Rooks will play the game differently than one of all Sednas. I am just stating that the other teams class selections should not be known until they emerge from the fog of war on the battlefield.
because the map will poor in from the players. Not so likely. The bulk of the map in demigod is one massive custom-built 3D model. It is not a tile-based system where anyone can easily make new maps--you'd actually need 3DSM or similar to more than just rearrange towers or walls on existing maps.
All Stardock needs to do is relase a simple PDF documenting the map file. The modders will take care of the rest. Stardock then nee
In multiplayer skirmish, shouldn't the other teams Demigod selections be hidden. Displaying the enemies demigods delays the start of the game as players keep changing selections like a game of whack-a-mole and gives the lobby leader and unfair advantage to switch classes at the last minute. The fog of war should extend into the game's lobby. The f
OK, I decided on Ventrilo. Reasons.. It's not another service running in the background on my PC sucking up the bandwidth. It's very cheap, they even have free web hosting. No setup or cancellation fees. I can open several rooms and let my friends use the account when I am not

I second this. Demigod should be marketed like a TF2 multiplayer game. If you stop that silly "RTS with RPG elements" nonsense, reviewers would stop knocking the lack of single player campaign. GPG did a good job making each class unique and it has almost all the classes necessary. NEEDS A SPY AND ENGINEER CLASS. Look, as long as you have mute/votekick feature and it is team only chat, there is no problem with VOIP.
When I host my next Demigod, I want to specify VOIP only. I have a domain which would make it very easy for players to connect without having to deal with IP numbers. Will a Teamspeak server put too much of a load on the Demigod PC? Otherwise, I have plenty of spare PCs. Should I just rent some Ventrilo slots? They're very cheap now. I have not used either recently, since most new games have in game VOIP. What is more popular at this time?
Ok, after playing several days of single player battles with the AI on hard, I decided it was time to go multiplayer. So, I decided to host a battle called "3x3 Seattle - Noobs Welcome" I forwarded my router's port and started the game. The first minute nothing happened. I thought something was not setup properly. Then one person showed up, we said hi, then several others. We waited and about after about 2 minutes we had all six. However, one of the players was red and his com
In order for Sedna to be a proper healing class she needs to get experience by healing. If you decide to play her as a pure healing class, you will not be able to level up. Even her healing wind should give points for helping creep kills.
I have a Steelseries 5HV2 headset with its supplied USB soundcard. Demigod does not play any sound. When I remove the device and use the motherboard's internal soundcard its ok. I never had any sound problems with any other software games with this headset. The drivers are all up to date. DXDIAG sound tests are fine. Does anyone also have USB headsets with problems? COMMENT: You should have marketed Demigod as a teamwork game rather then a RTS with RPG elements. You have all t
Had the same issue. Solve it by turning off the "Use System Reverb" feature in audio settings.
We depend on Impulse and Impulse alone to activate, download, update the game.
As a gamer I am getting concerned about these clients that will be needed to simply enjoy your game. We have Steam, Impulse, Blizzard's TBA, MS Windows Live, etc.. Each service is boasting their benefits to the users. I am sitting at my desk looking at several hundreds of dollars of games in two boxes. Occasionally I pull one out of the box
If you buy the game at retail you never have to use Impluse.
Incorrect! Stardock is forcing people to use Impulse to get their patches. I have been away from Sins and recently decided to reload it, only to discover that I have to install another piece of distribution software just to update my game. If you want digital downloads just give me a simple 'buy' link. Otherwise I will be avoiding Stardock. I put up with Steam because
