I dont think a weekly update is too much to ask. It doesnt have to be 8 paragraphs of information but it would be nice to hear about more features or see new screenshots. Not only does it satisfy our curiousity it helps drive the forum by giving us new things to talk about. That's my stance on it now anyways. When the beta is is delayed by 2 weeks, I will waffle and start b1tching on how they should have focused more on programming instead of giving

I just started playing MOM and didnt see em in there. Of course, my first game was like 20 minutes because I was overwhelmed... I have to read up the manual. But it makes feel better that MOM had it. GW, thanks for the google tip. That will be a complete time saver!!! :) +1 Karma for you

Random mob encounters in War of Magic Elemental Forums

Has there been any talk about random mob encounters when your walking around on the map? I'm sure we'll see em in temples/tombs/dungeons (MOM) but I dont recall hearing anything about them being outside. I think it would def help with the immersion factor as long as it wasnt overkill. I apologized if this has been discussed before. But I get a free pass as the searh button isnt working yet :)

My biggest fear: I wake up and realize that Stardock making this game was just a dream! Jk. Seriously though my biggest fear is that AI diplomacy will be broken. But, I have faith :) My biggest hope is this game will be most epic game I've ever played. I love how everything can be customized....unlimited player expansions ftw!

@ GW Lol, fair enough. ...United Factions, whatever you want to call it. The point of this topic is to get everyone's thoughts on how (or even if it can work). I used UN as a label because it was something that I easily identified with in helping to get my idea across. If you or someone else has a better name for it, I have no issues with editing the topic so it fits more closely with the "elemental" theme. I think your modern language theory is pretty interesti

Landisaurus beat me too it! Basically took the words out of my mouth. @GW I think you're right that might be a little weird for all these nations just to meet up on a regular basis. All these channelers are not gonna travel half way across the world all the time just to discuss things like trade routes. That's why I like the idea of having smaller guilds or concils. PBEM would be really cool in this game! I remember how much fun it was in Civ4. I would join a game with 30 people and we would play for months! The guy that organized it also created a website where each nation had its own forum. Most of the diplomacy was handled on the forums which was a cool way to particapate eventhough you werent playing out your turn.

Yeah, it's crazy heh? Remember the big stink they made over the whole Janet Jackson thing? And you had to be plastered to your TV to even notice it. Well, imagine just 15 seconds of straight Jenna Jameson porn. That's bringing it to a whole another level. They probably wont implement this but it would be cool to call for a "council" after a mega event. For example, some evil dragon appears and is threating to destory the land. You could have the option to call a council with the other factions and decide how to deal with the threat. It's a pretty general idea and havent thought out if it could logically applied...but that video clip made me think of it. Happy Monday everyone!

I apologize for not making myself clearer. I didn't mean an actual United Nations. I meant a United Nations of sorts...like the concept...of course it wouldnt be called United Nations. Looks like a nice rig, void! Thanks for the info. My main problem right now is trying to decide between a dual or a quad. It looks as though most games dont support quad right now. So, it would make the most sense to get a dual. However, knowing my luck the minute i buy a dual...all games will start going to quad. It would be nice to have something future proof but if it's not going happen for another 2-3 years, then forget it. Any opinions this, ladies and gents?

Reccomendations in Personal Computing Elemental Forums

I'm looking to assemble a new gaming PC but havent stayed on top of the latest and greatest technologies. Can you reccomend some processors/motherboards/video cards/sound cards for me. I would like to stay in the 1-1.5k range for the entire system...not looking for a Frog 2009 machine :P Any help or links would be appreciated! Thanks!
