Sure there will be lots more...but I think we need Replays before things get too competitive.
Not only that. You also need a decent population that can actually run the game smoothly. Too many people are still having issues with the game. 'Technical problems' and 'competitive' don't go well together.
LATEST ISSUE: It appears that there are issues with Google Desktop and Demigod on Windows XP. Does this apply to anyone in this thread having issues?
I am running on XP, but my issue is slightly different. With /nosound on, I get a nice 30-40 FPS in single player. With the sound on, my FPS drops to 2-3 FPS halfway through a single player match. I am running on XP, but I don't have Google Desktop installed.

Brad is looking into it, but this is a tough issue to tackle as GPG did something that messed up performance back in Janurary. Pin pointing what it is, and then fixing it for low end system may take a while.
I can see this is going to take a long while then, if this hasn't been fixed since January? It's not i

The underlying idea probably is: if a lot of people complain about the same thing, the problem will be pushed to 'urgent' status and they will work faste
Ok, so I am one of the many having problems with excessive lag in the game and need some help. I have been browsing the forums and heard about the /nosound command and i have no idea where to put it? Some help would be great.
Find the Demigod.exe (should be in C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin). Create a shortcut to it somewhere (desktop or so). Then rightclick on it with your mouse and choose '
Obvious thing to try out : Update sound drivers and/or set sound acceleration to basic in dxdiag
Indeed very obvious. A lot of people seem to have this issue. I don't know about others, but my drivers are updated and all. Still the game only runs smoothly with the /nosound option. Without it, I get 2-3 FPS. So the obvious thing didn't work out.
Stardock is taking full blame for everything that's happened, but they deserve better. join this grassroots campaign and show our appreciation for a quality title.
Even though I have faith in Stardock/GPG, and I applaud your effort, I, for one, am not going to do this until they solved some issues. At the moment, I'm struggling to even play this game. In SP, my FPS drop
What sound are you running? Most people that have had this issue it has to do with the sound. Try running the demigod.exe with the /nosound command at the end. A work around I discovered was that if I set my sound to stereo from quadraphonic/5.1 I no longer had this issue. Others have had success as well. Yes, we've had some people saying that turning your audio settings to Stereo in the control panel will help with some performance issues.&
Hmmm, you know what would be sweet? A space-based MMORPG. Instead of a character, you could have a ship. Group with other players to form fleets, fly through space, terrorize other ships. Or stay lone, become a space pirate. Level up and acquire upgrades for your ship. Could be cool...
I would recommend LineageII. It is a multi-player fantasy game, but don't let the mental comparison to WoW put you off. It was developed in Korea which, IMHO, allowed them to avoid a lot of the 'instant gratification' fixes that western audiences seem to demand. You create one or more characters and choose a server, I play on Sayha. Unlike games developed in the US, LineageII does not protect a player from their own mist

Spreading the word really helped. Ironically, I got here because of the Spore DRM. In a forum debate somewhere about that DRM, someone mentioned 'Stardock' and 'Sins of a Solar Empire', and that the company does not use DRM and that the space phase in Spore wasn't nearly as good as 'Sins of a Solar Empire'. So my boyfriend and me checked the game out, tried the demo, and then bought the game online, because we both liked it. We're both pleasantly surprised, and we can't wait for the e
