I found to Jade Empire to be surprisingly entertaining, and I liked the atmosphere, the music, the arts, pretty much everything except... it was the first game in awhile that made me want to hook up my controller because it just felt odd with my Wolfking for awhile, unfortunately they went 360 con

Graphics are beautiful, it does not matter if the engine cannot handle something or do what the programmer wishes it to do.
This was a problem with Majesty 2. +1 maybe boring, but it is also pretty clear that it's an upgrade, or it's not. I mean in borderlands there are so many guns that are slightly different that it isn't always clear if the gun you just picked up is "better" or just trash loot for the vending machine. ME2 got rid of loot pretty much all together which was disappointing. Loot is still fun to get, if the system of loot giving is competent. I know someone mentioned DA not being re-playable. I think its somewhat re-playable

You keep generalizing their games. When it gets to actually playing their games, the critical success of Bioware games speak for themselves.
It's this carte blanche acceptance of a "set storyline" that tweaks me the most though. It keeps the demand focused on art development instead of character or world development and it's why I would propose some find the industry in a state of decline today. In that view I'm inclined to agree with the OP. Sure, there's a market for these shiny new games, as has been demonstrated quite thoroughly, but to defend it as the only way to

All that's really different from the 1st game is the wonky inventory system. Technically speaking, Mass 2 is a strictly better game than the first. Its better written, better shot cinematically, has way better audio and plays much better as a third person shooter. Bioware really hasn't failed in maintaining excellence.
I en

Also, i sort of like to know what i'm going to say beforehand, besides, i skip the line after i've read the subtitle. Reading is so much faster. But since i mostly liked Mass Effect's system, i have no real issues with this.
I hate how ME2 makes you choos

EA has done nothing to Bioware but support its development process financially and marketing their games well. There are no limits on Bioware from EA. I enjoy the new Bioware games mostly because I don't buy into their claim that the stories are written by award winning novelists. I had a similar argument with one of their fans over SWTOR. While I agree the stories are competent and tend to be a step above the rest of the gaming industry in general, they're not exactly... award winning material. Seriously, remember how the gaming industry pretty much bragged that the writers' strike wouldn't effect them becuase they don't use writers.

The way the plot unfolded as a dwarf was the exact same as if you were any other race. They just didn't capitalize on a lot of opportunity to really make Origin stories matter in the game, not just to you the player. I like Frogboy's response here. I am only now starting to get interested in Elemental, mostly because I play these kinf of games multiplayer and the info on multiplayer is a little laxed at the moment. Still responses like those only instill confidence in the company behind the game as opposed to the kind of stuff you see coming out the Blizzard/activision, EA and other type camps... aka fk off and give us your money.

I did a Dwarf Noble story, and when I was doing the Dwarven quests in their city, I got recognized once or twice during the plot, a
