I usually hold my breath when I put in the CPU. That's the one part of building that still makes me cringe a little. I suppose I have a light touch to most things electronic though, except my case which I hacksawed.

Steam's Christmas sale is pretty awesome and exciting, something more of Stardock's sale lacks. A lot of Steam's sales are on older games though with only modest, not really tempting sales on newer titles. I'd settle for a smaller sale with great discounts. Really though, Stardock could have tried something with a little more umph for this holiday season. This is pretty weak to pretty much every other digital and even physical game sales.

Stranger things have happened. Seriously though, if you want Sins, just get it retail or through Impulse. I have no love of Steam but I enjoyed Left 4 Dead to pick it up on the cheap. You've already let them know of your opinion, so no sense in keep asking. It's not as if Valve games are the only games missing from Impulse anyway.

DRM free and available via physical or digital release, and you could use whatever service/community you wanted to organize your games, get achievements, etc. For now, I just see dozens of more stores coming out over the yeras, all with their own DRM schemes and different requirements for when their client/installer is used, patches that don't work with each other. etc, etc. It will be a mess for awhile. I wasn't even tempted by iAnythings because of their DRM (and costs of course). So far my creative and sony mp3 players have given me zero issues.

My only interest in FPS games, at this point, are co-op online games like L4D and SWAT 4. I would love a SWAT 5. I wish they would do something with that series. I don't think SWAT was ever a dumbed down experience, and presented a lot more than just shoot anything that moved.

Well the interface isn't that great for either one of them. I hate the color's so they could try offering a way to change the colors at least. It's an eye sore. You've got some dark smoky grey for Steam and some silverish blue grey for Impulse. Aparrently this greyish dark thing is appealign to some large group. THis doesn't meant they need to jump to giant cartoony BigFishGames uses but interface options would be more appealing to me and I suspect others. Just like Xbox
