Same here. Local co-op on PC only is just, well lame. I am so sick of incompetent companies not able to put together multiplayer options. This game was designed as a co-op, why not add just basic direct ip?

There simply isn't. other than the law of the capital market if you want to call it such. of course if you have the choice between a return of 5% and 10%, you take the latter and if you can have 10% in 3 m

Really, the biggest reason Stardock can do what they do is because they're private and the Frog calls all the shots. If it has an activation limit; I don't buy it. Period. Besides, steam is wrong. It was still showing multiplayer, and all the previews talked about multiplayer... this game has no multiplayer element. It looked like a nice game. Oh wells.

If there is a remote validation process, it can be limited. I mean really, EA shut down their servers for some titles. Doesn't take much to pull the plug, so to speak, on the other end.

When a protected game is run for the first-time, the player simply needs to enter in their email address and serial number. Once validated, the game can be played normally and typically never needs to connect to the Internet account. This = You need internet to install? nev

I have been following Majesty 2 since before Paradox had it. There have been at least 3 games released this summer that I refuse to buy because of activation limits and online connection required to play because of DRM. I am still on the fence on Goo, but the idea is warming up to me, especially as opposed to activation limits. The fact is that we are in a barter system. Users trade money for service (app, game, support). At certain points though . . sometimes the

They never said it was going to be DRM free. It's going to have a disc check and not have limited installs, require online activation or utilize Securom. That's already been announced. I suspect you will have to register online to access their Sims 3 storefront. Also, side note they are selling the Sims 3 for 25 dollars at Microcenter (19.99 + 5 deposit) in store. You can always buy it and return it if they back out but even EA hs to know that annoucing a change in DRM policy and then reverti
