Because you side-stepping every point I am making to ultimately throw out a generalization like "Feel free to dismiss as you do with most the other people you disagree with" is a sign that *I* am the desperate one. Yes, Nesrie , because I don't value the reviews of people that haven't used the product they are reviewing means that you have enough information to state that I
Beucase a space game wouldn't get uber metacritic scores atm. Need to wait until an indie does a Freespace style game really well then the metacritic landscape will be far more favourable.
Reviewers have been pretty kind to indie games that are actually done well you know. Recettear has an 83, and that is not a triple A title with a lot of wow in the graphics department. It is, however, fun to play and charming.
Quoting Nesrie, reply 378 I completely disagree with you. I think that is a simple concept too. Feel free to dismiss as you do with most the other people you disagree with. Obvious troll is obvious.
Signs of a desperation.
You didn't need to say it. You want to dismiss their reviews because you don't like it. Because you don't think they are doing what reviewers should be doing. The keyword here is you. Except it is not up to you. It would make absolutely no sense for someone to give a game a 1 star review because it uses Steam and then buy it now would it. That review has value, it just doesn't have value to you. Wrong. <br
When did I say they don't have a right to post 1-star reviews? And when did I say that not liking Steam is not a legitimate opinion? I'm just saying it discredits the entire review system when people give blanket 1-star reviews without trying out the product. It is well-known that the game is a Steamworks title, so why go out of your way to protest that with a 1-star review on Amazon? Like I said, read the
The mere fact that you give any credence at all to Amazon tech-related product reviews just tells me how informed your opinion is. Have you read the reviews? There's a 1-star review protest because of Steam. The same was true for Elemental, just tons of 1-star reviews from people that never even bothered to play the game.
You can get a lot of info from Amazon reviews if you just ignore the star system

The best part is, you don't have to take my word for it since the forums in question are open to the public. Add more stuff, great, more units, buildings, features, awseome .. just don't change the game with "radical" redesigns. MOO3 took the "radical change" approach and created a totally different game that suxed in comparison to its predecessor, which was one of the best

Between the two, Elemental is the one most likely to evolve though. Civ V is going to be tweaked, optimized and maybe added to with DLC and expansions, but I don't see a great deal changing. Firaxis doesn't really make big changes like that. I am hoping Elemental will shift into what I thought it would wind up being which is why I am still around.
Well, you see, you have the Japanese mentality: Customer first, after employee and after profit . The entreprise should always put customers and employee before profit. The reason is, when you do that, you make a quality product and the people will want to buy it, so the profit will come in the long run. I'm really glad that you think that way. By the way, I almost buy everything over Impulse because of it's DRM free policy and the "No CD" that come

I love these kinds of interviews, no marketing pitches because the cgame is already out, and some insight into the thoughts of the men and women behind the scenes. RPS: What’s the key of the game? Why do you think people were so into them? Lennart Sas: Looking back I think the multiplayer , solid strategic core, and modding tools are what made the Age of Wonders games stand out. The saddest part of that is they'd just gotten everything to where it should've been at launch (save for cheaters, but I'm sure they could've gotten that under control easily enough) to have a great game. No there are folks, a specific few actually, who claim Elemental 1.0 was "better" than Civ 1.0 even when the CEO and devs themselves say otherwise. Yes, I can and will be surprised that such blind loyalty is still getting defended here today. How about this, we can compared Elemental 9 patches later to Civ 9 patches later and see how they compare. I'll mark my calendar. What do you think 6 or 9 months later, maybe a year for Civ to hit it's 9th patch. Hey, maybe by the time Civ V has 9 patche

My wife isn't a gamer, and my old circle's combined schedules have become far too convoluted these last few years to really get something as serious as Civ V going. Heck, we all purchased Civ IV together and I'd be surprised if we managed more than 3 or 4 hours total. So, if I'm in a multiplayer mood, it's random strangers for me.
<
