Making Minor Races part of victory conditions. in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Since it seems like there will be at least one more update to GalCiv2 before it's put to rest, could I make a suggestion? I'd like to have the option to make minor races part of the victory condition. In other words, they would need to be conquered, allied with, or won over by influence in order to acheive victory. It seems like it'd be as simple as adding the option to the new game menu. Is this feasible? And does anyone else have a suggestion that could be easi

I've been pushing for adding missions to GalCiv3. I love all of the TOTAL WAR games. Great epic TBS with awesome battles. King's Bounty: The Legend has been mentioned much on this site. RPG with TB battles. VERY fun! There are a few loud complaints about Steam, but I think that overall they must be satisfying somewhere in the neighborhood of 95% of their customers, which is pretty decent. Just a quick dial-up connection is all you need to get going and it's really no trouble at all. I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Congrats on getting a laptop to work with games! I did the same about a year ago, and since I play mostly strategy games with modest requirements, it's worked out great for me. In hindsight, I do wish I grabbed a faster proc, mine's only a 1.66Ghz Core 2 Duo. I think it matters much more than I thought it would.

Getting upset about cannon mistakes is asking for high blood pressure, because Trek is soooo full of them. Just watch the Youtube videos that catch a lot of them. One minute Chakotay is a vegetarian, the next he's not, etc. Just search Youtube for Star Trek Mistakes. There's a 5 part series showing all the faults in the cannon.

@Solam: Flox was a great character. I also liked most of the Enterprise crew and even Archer. I think what was hardest for me was watching "old tech" look so brand spanking new and shiny. It just seems weird to think that everything we saw on ENT was looong before Kirk and Spock. I know it's a matter of our limited filming tech and the fact that it changes so rapidly. DO NOT pay for bloated anti-virus software! AVG free works great, and if that doesn't catch everything you can run a free scan from Trend Micro's website.
