I thought the idea was that the TEC was the economic power house of Sins and thus were the only ones who built ships for other clients.
true but couldn't other race's populations rebel or get excommunicated or something from the unity?

Everyone knows about those gray colored little fleets and bases located around planets at the beginning of games. There are at least a siege frigate, some anti fighter/bombers, and a long range attacker or two at most of the neutral planets. Some times they have a whole base left over ready for you to easily smash them. Don't get me wrong I love to hate these leaderless losers but my question is why only TEC? Why cant the battered left overs be Advent o

I need help understanding the Progenitor Mothership's Malice ability. From what I understand Malice either increases the damage surronding enemies take by a certain percentage or when I hit an enemy with an attack a percentage of that damage is done to surroundins ships. Am I close? Am I way off? Thanks in advance

Nice idea but i dont think you should give the ships over because it would mess with their fleet capacity maybe instead give all resources, all planets, half of the expieriance points your cap ships have total (split evenly amog the enemy's capitals),and half of the total expeience all your ships/structures are worth (also split evenly)

i hav but it wasnt at a star and it wasnty a star base. I was moving my fleet to a jump to a new planet and one of my gardas just suddenly appeared above the planet rotating endlessly facing up i couldnt move it or anything so i just scrapped it

Now, I dont mean to rip anything to shreds my fellow sinners but the way i see things that is a good thought but i dont think it will work. If players are able to end the game before it begins by building a mobile starbase that is like a massive fleet all in one unit that would (in my opinion) ruin the game. Just imagine. You have started a game on a wonderful map. I mean percfect there is little resistance on planets with enourmus amounts of resources and ar
i think that the starbases should have a larger firing range
im with you the only way my starbase can protect a whole planet is by ^grading it with the "goverment-something" ability that wont allow 4 planet take over w/out it
My suggestion to the game designers was the development/provision of Minesweeper class ships.
thats an awsome idea and if that doenst work (like it is to easy to get rid of mines) then a possible planet upgrade that would send a way out that destroys all mines in the grav. well but at least we can trust that stardock will do something

I am the kind of Game player that likes to know what everything does and what is strengths and weaknesses are (as most players do i presume) and one ship, the TEC command cruiser is really bothering me. more specifically the designate target ability. It seems to me like this ability is useless in the sense that it takes over command of MY fleets. I can understand the argument of "If you dont like it dont use it duh [e digicons]-_-[/e] " but i want to know if it CAn

Again i think it was one of those variables. Colonizer caps are generaly for support purposes and not so much for leading an assault even against a uncolonised planet also seiges and flaks are really very very specialised and are also not really balanced fighters. i am assuming that is was early in the game and i dont mean to put you down but it all depends on a lot of things that a player just needs practice with so i understand your frustration though with the micromanag
my capital ship was nearly killed by some base planet defence vessals so i have no idea what your talking about

Capital ships can also take on HUGE amounts of smaller frigates even at level 1. I don't think they are too weak at all.
Capital ships can seem powerful or not so powerful even at level 1 and there are lots of variables involved such as: what type of cap. ship it is, how many bombers or fighters you have, what kind o

I found a good way to clear mines and save ships but it can take a while. What you do is get a scout and have some bombers or fighters. Move the scout close to some mines so the bombers/fighters can clear them. 3 things to remember: 1: if your scout gets to close to an exploding mine it willl be destroyed. 2:you will know when the mine is able to be attacked when the hull is shown and its not phased out (obviously) 3: dont worry about your bom

My game keeps crashing because of "minidumps". I have little knowledge on them. All i know is that they have something to do with multiplayer games and thats where my confusion starts: i have never played a multiplayer game on sins. I made the maps my self and therefor i'm lost. Any help here? Please and thank you
