We have the forums cache on 3 different servers to help spread the load. This means that occasionally you might see some odd things like that. Your issue likely happened because when I made my post, it updated the cache on one server but not the others. The others were eventually updated when the cache expired (~5 minutes). The reason you saw it in your recent posts list is likely because the cache for that page is shorter than the one for the post page (say, ~3 minute

We use TinyMCE as our editor on the forums. Another thing to try: clear out your temp files and cookies. We recently changed our cookie system slightly, but with the side effect that all existing cookies were considered to be invalid. It's possible that an existing cookie is affecting the new cookies. You can also try upgrading to the beta branch of Chrome and to Firefox 4 to see if that changes anything. I wouldn't recommend keeping them forever, just do it as a test then downgrade. Check to see what
