Holding space rotates the camera in the final release too :) I didn't know about the Ctrl bit, but I usually don't have a problem. The demigods are generally far larger than the minions, so selecting them quickly usually isn't a problem, even with a lot of foes on the screen. Bara

A minor update today, with most of the changes being done to the backend of things. Change log is below: 4/29/2009 - Lots of back-end changes to prepare for public API. - Added sorting options to the Top Demigods and Maps pages. - Updated all pages to make a more consistent error message system. - Updated player search to avoid certain errors. Bara
I have a more interesting system in mind :) I think you guys will like it when I eventually develop it. Thanks for the screenshot mickeko. Bara
There is a separate rankings list for custom games as well, but for the most part custom games do not count for anything. Rdubya: I'd recommend checking http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com and looking through the stats there. I'm not sure what you mean by game search. Do you mean like the player search on the Pantheon site? Bara
Tough battles, almost impossible to win on equal skill. Those sorts of matchups are only supposed to happen when the side with fewer players has higher ratings. It's a bit out of whack now though because it doesn't take the number of games they've played to get said ratings into account strongly enough. We were going to add some more delay into the process before the system starts giving people that sort of match-up, so if that d
Again, I think we are meaning we would like a way to clear the histories of our replies, at least from our list. Before I changed names, I had 10 or 12 pages...most of which I had no interest in ever visiting again. It is understood that we are not "subscribed" to the replies pages. It would be cool to be able to clear them, or to be able to choose to remove selected ones, like clearing sent PMs in the PM section.
I disagree.&nb
But again, the My Replies page is not meant to show your interests. It's meant to be a history of your replies. I think what you're looking for is a Subscribed Threads page. You'd click a button on any thread titled "Subscribe" and it would appear in it's own special page. You can then unsubscribe at any time from that page. I think this has been suggested before, I should already have it on my list. Bara

No, I think what happened is that you were disconnected, and the game created a new match for you. However, because the game does not handle disconnects well, you

We are looking into all of the various disconnect and quitting issues. Look for a fix in a future patch :) Bara
You're thinking of Starcraft/Warcraft aren't you? That won't work here, because each map is not based on tiles. Each map is a unique 3D model. Bara
Any games counted as a custom game likely means someone dropped during the game. We're working on that issue. For the time being, ignore games that show you on the wrong side or show it as a custom game when it was really a Pantheon or Skirmish game. Bara
I wouldn't mind seeing something like that. Being able to re-position the flags, portals, and minion paths would make for some interesting variations. Bara
Thanks for the kind words :) Thanks to your info, it seems very likely that the statistic counter jobs are not running. I'll take a look today and see what I can find. As for your debug errors, next time you get them feel free to forward them to me or . The more we know about errors the better :) Bara
I'll see about implementing a hide system. However, mickeko is right, you're technically not "subscribing" to anything. It's simply a list of all topics you've replied to. It may require a bit of work though. I'll add it to my list of things, but it won't be marked as important or high priority. Bara
Please be patient. At the moment, the connection issues are trying GPG and Stardock up. Once those are resolved, we will resolve the issues with game stats counting improperly. Most of the issues come from disconnects and quits. When the connection issues are corrected, that should resolve half the issues. The other half will be when GPG implements a better system for handling quits and disconnects. Bara
The real downside is that it would be really hard for a modder to make a map, unlike all the other rts where you use elemental bricks to build a map (and so it is relatively easy to create a sdk for the modders) Demigod uses huge 3D models. This happens every time? Or is it just a 1-time thing? Bara
I second this. Demigod should be marketed like a TF2 multiplayer game. If you stop that silly "RTS with RPG elements" nonsense, reviewers would stop knocking the lack of single player campaign. GPG did a good job making each class unique and it has almost all the classes necessary. NEEDS A SPY AND ENGINEER CLASS. Look, as long as you have mute/votekick feature and it is team only chat, there is no problem with VOIP.
</p
Imo, that's the greatest thing about Demigod: the design. The maps are very well done, and awe-inspiring describes them well. But it's not just that. The Demigods look great, the death screen is very moody, the music, the sounds, it's all put together very well. There's a reason why most reviews say the game looks beautiful :) Bara
