Im an OD subscriber and have a start menu with my own organization. How do I change the default start menu folders where newly installed object desktop apps go?

What Wincustomize has sucumbed to IMHO is worse than what happened at skinz.org Stardock is charging for other people's work, i know the reason is bandwith, but face it without the skins there would be nothing to charge for, so they are charging for other people's work, its not their right to do that. Why do all the skinners copyright their stuff saying "do not sell or make money in any way off of these skins" I just hope this payperview scheme wont spread to other good sites.

But is a benefit pipowell these people use the skins, they show it to their friends, they expand the skinning community, which, software wise, stardock just happens to have a monopoly on (they deserve it though because of all the awesome software) Stardock gains sooo much from wincustomize, publicity, many people, all being exposed to the strong prostardock bios of everything on the site. I think this site should never have been founded, it was inevitable what would happen. Oh yeah and neow

lol backerstreet thats true, i never said i had artistic talent, just know how to use photoshop and noticed there werent any nice xp icons, so i made them for myself, and i uploaded, seems they got quite a bit of downloads too. Messiah that would be nice, unfortunatly it doesent exist, i was talking about all the free sites on the net, especially the ones without adds, they do exist, and i think the reason for that is the communities behind them.

What about people who love skinning and hang around messageboards of this and other sites but simply have no talent for art? Look at all the freeware on the web! How can you say nothing out there is free, what makes the web diffrent is that many hobbies can work and have communities FOR FREE.

I wouldent want wincusto to die, i would love for some sections to be removed though, to cut the bandwith costs. Stardock benefits from this site so much, first because they advertise their products here, and mainly because without skins their products would be worth nothing.

Is there anyone left who still likes to do skinning for free whos against commercializing it? It was a sad day when i saw wincustomize slowly start charging people for things, i guess that skinning as it was a 2 or 3 years ago is over, soon there will be no more good free skins, stardock, while it is a wonderful wonderful software company, should never have been allowed to start a skin site, i actually thought this might happen, but then i though stardock wouldent do that, they wouldent charge f

Look at the sites that came before wincustomize, anyone here remember skinz.org, many sites like that "died" before they would charge people, and i think its the better thing to do. There is a temptation to commercialize everything, especially for stardock, because it can but i just dont see why? why does something that has always been free now have to be fore-profit? Sites couldent survive after 1999 (some of them). But for skinning, it should remain free because sites can survive, look at all the great FREE webistes that work just fine. I couldent afford to host it, but i would damn sure be donating to wincustomize if they didn't force people to pay, i think a good many others who really love skinning would be to. I think wincusto could survive on stardock's money (or grant or whatever) and donations from those inclined to do so. Skinning was always free, skinning should remain free, thats what I say.
