But the point is to build the community up so that users have a better experience, i.e. there is nothing gained for stardock and GPG by artificially limiting the communities size, we're talking about why only "23% of purchasers" played online, well then, if you want to see more people online if thats one of your goals to build an online community, then they should be going in the opposite direction. Demigod has been out for a while now and keeping the numbers of players playing online

WilliamStanley: the Demo does work with the full game, you can even play online with it. Your you could at least, at the time. I don't know if it's still possible.
In my oppinion, the best thing you could do to launch a (multiplayer) game is to create a free demo version that is compatible with full retail games. So in a lan party, for example, if only 2 people have the game, but 8 want to play, then that is fine, but those 6 players with the demo will be limitted to Rook and Torch Bearer.
You don't even need the Demo in case of Demigod. You can just copy the Demigod installation to your friends and start it (and activate it with your emai
Go play supreme commander 1 and it's like the guys at gas powered games NEVER played starcraft 1, so many lessons were learned from other real time strategy games like Company of Heroes and Starcraft (which is ANCIENT by now, so no excuses).
Supreme Commander and StarCraft are inherently different games. What exactly do you want Supreme Commander to learn from StarCraft?
Ha, nice... AlienWarrior won 34 out of 34 games. His Winning Streak is... 1 :). Yes, Stardock should definitely have a look at him.
It's in the dgdata.zip
I told both Frogboy and Sorian about an issue I found worse than just seeing what items the enemy has, and both have ignored me, and there appears to be no work to try and fix it. I am currently considering releasing more details about my mod/hack to the public, which might spur them into action. The problem is that DG can't really afford to lose any more people.
Do NOT do that. Send this issue with detailed information to and maybe also send it t
Yep. They are totally broken. I hope Stardock is aware of that.
Don't reply to Babyfuck's posts, just report him. He is simply posting the Heros from League of Legends.
Btw, Spooky. Is it hard to do these changes to the maps? How do you do it?
Adding new objects in the scenario.lua file is easy. However, figuring out the correct position and rotation angles, especially for multiple items can be excruciating. In this case I started by searching for the position of one of the portals, which was the point of reference after which I positioned the towers. In case of Crucible I could simply build up the towers on
Systemcrash? Do you have any proof?
It's not possible to have a proof for this, other than maybe making a video of your screen while it is happening. A replay will not show this slowdown, since the replay is simply played at regular speed (or whatever speed you defined).

Yeah, it loads for a long time (as do other forums and threads currently) and only the topics will be shown then.

Thx for the heads up. However, you should not use more than one exclamation mark at once.
Yeah, some people can be overly negative. But if you just join noob games or host them yourself, you should be ok :).
Nice tool :) [e digicons]k1[/e]
No, 10 mbit down and 1 mbit up is pretty good.
I occassionally heal structures with the Gadget, e.g. if we still have both the forward side towers later in the game, to make them last even longer. It's hardly ever worth it though. However, the Gadget is a great way to kill of unsuspecting or unprepared fleeing enemies, especially as Rook.
