Eh, way to easy for anyone with AoE to push back a single wave of creeps coming from one direction, no matter how far they manage to get.
I disagree. Unless there are 3 Torch Bearer on your team, it's not that easy to push back the creep waves constantly + the enemy Demigods. In all the Crucible games I had and won, I never had to or wanted to cap the enemy portal flag.
But if that's the case, wouldn't be easier to just remove the flag entir
Spooky__
If you manage to destroy everything else, so that the portal flag is available to you without a gap warp, then the Citadel is right there for you and you probably don't even need the portal flag to win.
Nice, would like to see someone making Mandala or The Brothers into a 3v3 map now
Well, you can't block Warps with walls. So even if you had a giant wall somewhere in the middle of Mandala, you would still be able to reach the other side. But you could at least remove all the flags and portal and towers on one side for instance.
About how long did this one take you, spooky?
Almost exactly 3 hours ;).
Yes, modding the existing maps is quite "easy". "easy" as in: you just need to mod one file. However, editing this file and placing all that stuff by hand with a text editor is rather painful. In this example I built up the structures on one side, then copied the whole thing and exchanged the x and z values with a regular expression in one pass for example (had to manually add 1 unit to x and substract 1 unit from z though). This only worked on Crucible though. I don't take credit for
A level 20 Erebus can take the tower out of the ground, walk around to the nearest Rook, and violate his nether regions with it.
Hehe indeed ;)
Btw. a Level 20 Erebus with some health and/or armor stacking can still easily warp in and survive long enough to capture it :P
I decided to overdo it a little: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/372231 ;)
This mod adds plenty of towers and walls around the portal and portal flag on Crucible, which makes gap warping to the enemy portal rather dangerous of course. I made this mod for fun after a rant from Spongematt . Download Installation: as with any oth
Hi all, I just wanted to know if lots of people still play this game online , because I currently have the demo and HATE the AI. And with no one playing online for demo games I dont know if there's still lots of games happeneing in the real game because i've already planned on getting the real game. So if you could please, fill me in on as to how many of you still play this game. Thanks in advance.
You can track the number of player playing o
Looks good, didn't know about it yet :)
Every faction will have a basic tank, artillery and AA land unit. And more of course. In the screenshots I posted above you can see the basic Mantis counterpart unit, an AA unit and some other unit, maybe artillery or a unit with special abilities, possibly. There are also two more unidentified units from earlier screenshots, but it's hard to tell anything from those.
An easy fix would be to put up additional Towers of Light and Archer towers around the portal and portal flag. This could even be done with a simple mod. However, Erebus will still have a big advantage, since he can still warp from his own base to the middle part and vice versa.
well, the entire cybran faction for starters. been beaten with the ugly stick. and shall we continue the debate of the skinny-leg ACUs here?
Ah, so you actually mean that you don't like the designs. Well this is personal taste obviously, I was talking about graphics quality from a technical point of view. And so far I like most of the units in Supreme Commander 2, for the record ;). The Cybran ACU looks awesome for example. I do agree that the UEF ACU looks off, but not because
i pointed out on no less than 2 occasions that the supcom 2 changes arent related to the 360
At one point you said "the lack of big maps/heaps of units". There are big maps, and there still will be hundreds of units on the battlefield. Due to the performance optimizations, the maximum (unmodded) unit could probably be raised again (during the beta of Supreme Commander it even was at 10000 at one point ;)). The second occasion was your comment about the economy, which I a
(if they port out, they ARE burning ports)
They don't need to port out. Erebus can just mist when there is trouble and wait until his bat swarm is ready again and then warp out.
supcom is getting dumbed down, quite obviously
There are two things that have been "dumbed down" (in your sense) in Supreme Commander 2. The economy system: this change was made to generally appeal to a greater audience for both systems, not because of the 360 version. Furthermore, the economy will probably still be more difficult to manage than in other games, but it's now more intuitive to use for more people. The research system: tech levels are gone, but we h
Even the statistics show that Epoch III "is no fun". There are considerably more people on the Forces of Light (== Assassins side) than on the Forces of Darkness (== Generals side). The Epoch III Generals vs Assassins tournament started out with the Light side always being stacked in the Pantheon queue and waiting for some Generals to join. However, despite the high numbers of Assassins present in Pantheon, the stack has shifted (or is at least starting to shift) to the Forces of Darkness Pan
Sorry to hear that nothing worked for you, but I hope that your decision not to play online is not solely based on the fact, that you can't play Demon Assassin in Single Player. Demigod is a Multiplayer game and a very addictive one at that :).
I haven't seen crucible or a 1v1 on pantheon since November 15th when you changed this!
Yeah, I can report the same.
Everyone received DA by now. If you can't select him in multiplayer, then there is some issue of course. But generally, the DA was released to everyone.

This also happens with the Rook's Trebuchet btw. In this replay, the Trebuchet stopped shooting at enemies at around minute 18. You can see at that timestamp that I am positioning myself around an enemy tower, expecting my Trebuchet to shoot at it, but it simply doesn't. However, it starts shooting at the enemy Oak again, once he comes in range again. So it seems the Trebuchet was l
Again, this is not cheating. On crucible, you simply have to watch your own portal flag, if you play against Erebus or someone who uses the warp stone. I have played a very similar game to yours too once. Me as Rook and a Sedna against 2 Erebus. It, was a long, drawn out game, where we gradually overpowered the enemy more and more. Of course they started to try to capture our portal flag, but they never got it, since one of us simply teleported back and killed them (or fought them awa
Warping over the gap on Crucible or Exile was not "fixed" and is not considered as an exploit, at least not by everyone.
