Quote from Istari
The announcement and store link were scheduled to go up today but the plan has changed to simply add it to everyone's accounts with the consequence being that there will be no additional demigods or maps added since it is pretty clear that the amount of hostility would overcome any value of the additional content .
I am almost speechless [e digicons]o_O[/e] If Istari is really being serious here... I mean... he can't be... but if so, Sta

Its just a post in the front page, all that is needed. It seems more like an excuse to me. I dont think frogoy didnt have time to make a simple post with a link in it to the page where you get Occulus, since he had time to post here. It didnt have to be pretty, just an announcemet like: "Hello Demigod players, we
Shame on you Stardock, this was the most ridiculous kind of an update I have ever seen. To view history to get a link, where we have to put in our email!!! How stupid is this, Stardock already has our email, why did you not send the link to our email, which is connected to our account??? Just another piece that shows us that we are still in a beta.
Monochrom_Atom: the release of Occulus has not been an
Yes, Starforce was known to f- over some people's computers, but many people also had no issue.
Just because there were people who had no problems with a Starforce protection doesn't mean, that it should be desireable for anyone (including the publisher) to have or use it. Similarily a virus or trojan on your system might not ever do any harm to you, but you surely do not want it on your system either. And I am sure that you may want to say the same about Steam ;).
it's a shame that this means the system for paying for new content (and thus any hope of getting new content) has been scrapped.
Huh? Why does it mean that for you? To me it just means the opposite, otherwise they wouldn't go through all the trouble of setting up pages where you can buy additional Demigod content.
When SupCom 2 comes
March 2nd (in North America and on Steam, pre-loading on Steam available in 1 month). March 16th for the XBox.
I will need a steam account to install and play Single Player (I dont do multi).
Probably.
ill just quit playing this.
Good. I hope you don't need to post in the forum anymore too ;). But if you still want to try and fix it: it seems like you have the same issue as here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/373689 Simply create a support ticket by writing to [email protected] and the problem should get resolved for you.

If you want to make absolutely sure, you can try these steps: - uninstall Demigod completely - delete the Demigod folder in your My Games directory - close Impulse and execute this registry key: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/373670/get;2506128 - reinstall Demigod - start Demigod as Administrator and log into online Multiplayer Alternatively try step 2, 3 and 5 first, without uninstalling Demigod, if you don't want to go through

nicetrydre: close Impulse, delete your Demigod folder in My Games and execute this registry script: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/373670/get;2506128 (forum is broken right now, at least for me, so I can't insert a proper link). Then start Demigod as Administrator again and log into online Multiplayer. And why "BS"? It simply means, that it hasn't been announced yet officially, that Occulus is released now and therefore we have no other instructions yet, other than those in the Hist

Imho an expansion isn't really suitable for Demigod. I'd rather pay small fees for additional Maps or Demigods.

Hope I can install it soon, and that Occ will be enabled.
Be sure to manually delete your Grame.prefs too (or simply the whole Demigod folder in My Games) since that will not be removed during uninstallation. // ah nvm, you got it fixed :)
Also, deleting gameprefs fixed it for me, and just FYI, this is probably the most c

Got an e-mail with a serial number. I didnt know what to do with it so I logged into Multiplayer. No Occulus
Try to start Demigod as Administrator and log into online Multiplayer.
Just like Demon Assassin, you'll have to log into multiplayer at least once in order for Oculus to be playable.
Prior to that, you really do have to visit https://store.stardock.com/product.aspx?productid=ESD-SDE-W005 and add Occulus to your account with the correct email address.

Ok, seems like you really have to register it like it says in the history. At least I did not get Occulus simply after logging into multiplayer.
I'm a little bit puzzled about why I need to "buy" Occulus for free. :/ Why not just include him like a standard update?
You don't need to do that, in theory. As Rosco_p said:
no action should be required beyond getting the update, and logging into multiplayer
Btw. they still forgot to add scroll bars for the Tournament...
I can't speak for everyone else here, but for me, it's because it's the most invasive form of DRM that's in use and possibly ever. I'd prefer a cocktail DRM of Tages and Starforce before I'd want a game with Steam as its DRM.
I don't think you know what you are talking about. Things like SecuROM and Starforce act like viruses, digging deep into your system, which will cause problems of different kinds, and pretty much fuck you over, even though you bought a legal copy.
