If you are able to put more pressure on the enemy with priests, then they definitely do not help the enemy. They help you with killing towers and killing or pushing back enemy Demigods.
Why should you not have to run with waves? Creeps aren't just there for your amusement and gold/xp. And how is that different from "pushing with a wave"?
It gives you 4 gold per second. The second upgrade 6, the third 8.

I had an epic game once where a part of our end-strategy involved buying all death upgrades. Every upgrade in the Citadel is useful, depending on the situation.

Creeps without priests do not help against toweres with the first health upgrade, but creeps with priests do. And you are there too.

His argument is, that he thinks the AI giving no gold/xp to the enemy when killed would be a "hack" or "band-aid", even though he acknowledges the existense of gold and experience multipliers for AIs.
An AI giving less or no gold and experience at all to the enemy is not more of a "hack" than the AI getting gold and experience multipliers. Both address the fact, that the AI is inferior to a human player. I don't get at all why you consider this a dirty hack, considering we already have something like that in the game, as you pointed out yourself. And yes, I am a software engineer too.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a Priest upgrade early to mid-game. As already pointed out, it's a strategic decision that helps to further push against the enemy. Sure, if the enemy has absolutely no Problem with holding you back, then it was simply a bad decision, but that doesn't mean that the upgrade needs fixing... it only means that your strategy needs "fixing". The only thing I can agree on, that the xp and gold benefit from killing a Priest is maybe to high, compared to
Of course you have to learn to use it, what's wrong with that? You have to do that with everything in the game, in any game for that matter... The only thing I could agree on here is the fact, that Priests give maybe too much xp and gold compared to a Catapultasauri for example. A slight reduction (40 XP instead of 50 as already suggested, for example) should be ok, but any balance attempt here has to be careful, otherwise the Priest upgrade is no strategic dec
You may, but I don't need the reminder because I've already addressed this. If it's going to lag, it's probably going to lag at the start of the match and persist throughout. That means people quit (at the start of the match), which as I said means we can remake the game. Devs say in the next patch if people quit at the start (I believe first 5 minutes) of the game, the game will not be counted in their stats so this
It's very counterintuative; you should want to buy most upgrades if you can, and they should help, not hurt. This needs some sort of fix for sure.
What? Not at all. Every upgrade you buy has the chance of hurting you, in the sense that it may be useless and still costs you a lot of money.

Sure, it might be a dangerous decision sometimes, but that makes it only more exciting.
