He got rid of the preview section, mixing it with the eyewitness section, making the whole thing a big mess. The high and low areas of the final score area in the review section are gone, as are the columns in the magazine. The new art style is horrible as well, with all the letters being made to look like they're pixelated&nbs

Btw. keep in mind that at least for me the different external ports are not the reason that I cannot connect to a NAT facilitator. I can initially connect to it, but I can't sustain the connection, since the NAT facilitator spams me with UDP packets when connecting to multiple players which will be blocked by my Router or ISP.
No, a low simspeed causes the game to slow down, but not necessarely causes stutter.
@Rocah: are you Aprogas from the chat? ;). I've mentioned in my last e-mail to Cari, that they also should try the internal port and not just the external port, just as you say. I also mentioned that in the previous patches (before the dreaded May 14th patch), the log says this: [05-05-2009 10:55:28 204] Connected to facilitator at 209.124.63.249:6004. My External: 78.142.167.74:6200 where as now it says this: <p s
The Cute Guid to Demigod's link is wrong.
The funny thing is that Demigod requires more Upload than Supreme Commander because it sends data with higher frequency for some reason.
Well, that makes sense, since in Demigod everything has to or should react faster than in Supreme Commander.
and how would I tell if my netgear WNR-3500 can handle all the connections
Well, you could gradually decrease the overall connection limit in Soulseek (if possible) and see if it makes a difference.
I open soulseek and about 3 minutes later my entire connection is choked even simple things like surfing are intollerablly slow. But encrypted proxies cure that problem as for demigod I dont know how to fix that one. unless they allow us to become dedicated servers.
That sounds more like either your router isn't handling many simultaneous connections well or you are reaching the TCP/IP connection limit of Windows.
By Attack Move, I mean Alt-Rightclick (to all non-SupCom players ;)). Sometimes I observed, that my Demigod will indeed move to the destination and stop to attack any enemy in between... but often times he would not continue to move to the destination after killing the first enemy. Or, in other cases, he would kill the first enemy but then move directly to the destination, without attempting to attack any other enemys anymore on the way. Has anyone else observed this?</
Supreme Commander uses the same engine. In theory, you shouldn't have any problems like that in Demigod, if you can play a 4v4 just fine in SupCom.
Even though his upload speed migh be pretty bad, i am flabbergasted by this game needing 16k/sec UPLOAD to play online! considering i played starcraft and warcraft 2 on 56k modems back in the day... (which translates to rougly 4kbyte/sec) without problems. 200 APM was standard those days, that is, over 200 commands per minute, or 3-4 clicks every second. The only data that should be sent are the commands ordered by the player?
Not quite. The
As already pointed out, your upload bandwidth is insufficient. However, as already said, the upcoming version of Demigod will reduce the bandwidth consumption per player and you will probably be able to play at least 2on2s without problems.
You need about 25 kbit/sec per player. So for a 2v2 you should have a connection with 128 kbit/sec upload bandwidth.
Just wanted to report that the recent patches have not fixed this for me yet. Though Cari is still working on it. She built me a custom ImpulseReactor.dll and a Custom server, where she tuned the message handling, implemented a little bit of throttling etc. And this did in fact help, in our tests I was able to sustain the connection to the NAT facilitator indefinitely. However, I was not able to connect to other players and others weren't able to connect to me or sustain the connection. So so
Unprovoked Desyncs are very rare in SupCom. If at all, they sometimes happen when players are timing out. Just like in Demigod.
Anyways, it doesn't matter because now everyone is desynced. Whatever that means. Doesn't seem to actually affect the gameplay but the game feels compelled to pop a nice fat error window in front of you obscuring your vision, eating your commands, and making playing impossible until you click "Ok" So it pops up again 2 seconds later. Again, and again, and again. Your face hits your keyboard in disgust. Who programmed in

I would never need to 'demo' a pc game again if I knew the game was garbage I would be able to return it. As far as I knew, once you had purchased a piece of software you were stuck with it due to CD Keys etc. I assume this is if the game is purchased direct as opposed to going through a 3rd party retailer? But at the same time I disagree with these ty
