HAHA no to all of the questions? Even the neutral nodes? Wait, one of the questions wasn't even a yes no! HAHAH Annatar, you're like a giant database where I can ask endless questions about Sins and you have all the answers (well close to). It's pretty cool. Thanks man.

Awesome. Thanks guys. So with each "lab layer" how many items can we place there? Say I wanted to make all ships available with 1 military lab, would there be room for 15 research items in that layer? Just as an example.
So... would it be possible to create a moveable planet with no gravity well? what about the neutral nodes? How changeable are they? Are they considered a building? Could we make a neutral node that produces different things than crystal or metal? Could you give them a population modifier? .. also HAHAh are gravity well shapes changeable? I noticed in the Star Wars mod Eviljedi was able to change some of the shield shapes... coul
By pop modifier, I just mean the characteristic that gives population. Could that be applied to a ship? Or could we do anything that gives the same effect? So a ship that when it takes damage it loses population, but will gain it back over time. Like a planet! And planets spawn constructor ships. How does that work? Could we duplicate that so that they spawn their construction ships and also other ships?
Yeah, they would do something like take 20 pop from planet A that is full and drop them off at Planet B that is empty. It would be risky though. Do you know how the population modifier works? Could we create a cap ship that is like Titan AE and has 200 pop or something? Is it possible to make planets spawn ships like trade ports do?
Any other Ideas how to add to the economic side of the game? We can't add new resources can we? Is it possible to make different kinds of ships spawn from buildings? Like random civilian ships? think it would be possible to have starbases that spawn civilian ships that have population that we could tax? I have a couple ideas on espionage that might work but they are pretty rudementary. What about diplomacy?
Can't you just give it a range that is equal to the gravity well?
Sounds pretty cool! Can't wait for the screenshots.
Lol its a really nice lookin mod isnt it?
Hey Teal, How changeable is the research tree? If I want to create a new race, can I create a complete research tree for it as well? What kind of space is available? Is there like 7 slots only, or can you add 15 research items in one line?
uhh you could have just waited for the response in the other thread. Eviljedi has said he'll address this soon.
Just the tip? LOL!!
I don't see a range modifier. Hover your mouse over the ability when selecting the star. Does is show the purple range? Maybe your range is null right now? I just glanced over the coding but couldn't find it.
Weird, I can't play my Galaxy Forge map. It doesn't show up for this mod. Do i have to put it in a folder in the mod or something? EDIT* I found it. Edit* What ships capture neutrals?
Where are you looking for it? It won't be in the customizable, it will be in the small/medium/large. It depends on the amount of players in the game.
Well that's a bonus. I might have to incorporate this into my mod. EDIT* I mean the % miss/hit
Neat. So if someone wanted, they could make all ships have a chance to miss when shooting? Would this put a greater burden on the pc though as it would have to calculate all shots % miss?
I've updated the original post if you guys are interested.
Slightly off topic, could you then use the complete opposite buff that the Akkan has ie. -20% chance to hit, -10% range for all enemy targets within a range X?
I was actually thinking a similar thing. I noticed the shields were shorter than the ships and thought that it could be the game is thinking the ships are actually smaller. Your "illogic" is quite logical I think. Maybe not supported by facts but definitely reasonable.
I'd suggest sending and email to them and then letting this thread die.
Not that I've heard of, but there are a lot of great ideas here and in other threads. Hopefully they'll pick up on some of them.
That is a good option. I think Evil is trying to avoid that though. That's what I get from his posts. Maybe I'm just lost though.. hahah
Annatar for the win! That's the solution. Well the reason I want the third building is to develope different strategies. If you're behind in resources, you can throw out a refinery and boost your mines. If you don't have mines, but need resources and credits, you can build trade ports. If you need just credits you can build tourist traps. So it would be for example, +1 m +1 cy from a refinery, +10cr, +.25 m, +.25 cy from a trade port, then you'd get +20 cr from a tourist t
So if that is the case, could he solve it by making the star neutral somehow? Because if you're right, the AI would be thinking he owned the star for some reason... But what about when it's for a planet that is owned by the player?
