Well... you still need a tool, but how about http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html ? I still like softimage 6.5 better. (or the softimage modtools... which is a free version of xsi without most of the rendering stuff...

Is there a "virtual display" mode? A function (primarily) found on older notebooks to compensate for their lack of high resolution displays. It put a "virtual" display at (say, 1024x768) while only showing 1024x600. If you moved your mouse cursor over to the edge of the screen, however, it would scroll down, sort of like an RTS (without the zoom to cursor function). Hope this helps! (this was part of windows 98?)

[quote who="FrostMage" reply="3" id="1783606"]I like the idea of the burnt out shells of former space stations with an option when the planet is recolonized to scuttle them or restore them if they are of the same tech. For scuttling them you would get a minor amount of raw materials back. And to restore them it would cost like 5 or 10 percnet less than normal. As far as dead ships floating around... I think that would probably take up too much processor power... unless... I got it!

[quote who="Annatar11" reply="5" id="2063341"]Impulse is a clean program. It doesn't install other junk. It doesn't mess with your browser settings in any way. It does have an option to add a tiny start-up app to make Impulse launch faster when you launch it - it just preloads a few things into memory and just sits there. You can disable it (is it disabled by default now?). It needs space because it downloads to a temporary folder, then extracts and installs in the proper path. But

OR, the TEC just was "soft" and "easy" (intro video) - part of that being the first to be designed (ingame). But if you look at the trailer (which is beta), they really have improved ALOT. Now for the 12 o'clock question: Would you call a missle a rocket... I mean same tech, right? (nope) Would you call a tank a armoured car? They both spurted out of similar ideas? (nope) Why call a 3d model pixels (though that term can be correct - everything st

Nagh... Let us keep our lame, easy tactics. Only way to counter carrier spam seems to be to counter spam with carrier (fighters only, no bombers). Oh well.... Maybe Entrenchment Final will add some "super flak" ability, or (dunno if this works) you can use the Vasari superweapon on a "danger close" (with a nuke for comparison...) Thanks! -Jeremy
