Well, there is an 8 player map (comes with the default sins maps) called grind (it has grind in it's name) and is about the 5th or 6th one. Eithor way, it's a fun and bloddy map to enter. (8players, 25 planets)
Stardock's goal with Impulse isn't to "beat" Steam. But rather, to ensure there's a viable alternative to Steam. I don't think it's in anyone's interest that any entity become dominant in such an emerging market.
a.k.a. you just want to get ahead of 'them' (dark music here), while not being as big as to draw flak, right? Sort of like MS releasing system restore... Few years l
Howabout making late game cap ships come with the free leveling up? You already trained the crews before, some of it has to of passed down?
Well, my company uses NAV Corp 10...
It availble on filefront, fileplanet, ign. Though only filefront lets you download it without nedding to register.
Well, similarly, I hate the idea of loading software onto my computer for the sake of another piece of software. For that (admit it, bloatware) to run on my otherwire clean computer... Impulse is just that little bugger off in the corner. So is Steam. Both are brilliant ideas of how to shove monitering and DRM down users' throats while still building up their fan base. Some will like it, some won't. Many people, with their übe
Well, the upload image button doesn't seem to work for me in my profile panel.
So... are you a Impulse fanboy? How exactly do you want somebody to respond to that?
With humor... I meant it in a joking fashion, not to start lobbing rocks.
Yeah..the 26th month.
Hey... I though this was about which was an early game powerup?
Burgh! The SoaSE map download section needs to be catagorized, cleaned, and moved to another webhost (AND another domain). Just tell me what you want, I'll try to approximate it. (not something really vague like: I want a really fun map - everybody does).
So... are you a Impulse fanboy?
ARGH!!! just kidding... I was really hoping for Feb 4th..then 11th. Now the countdown has begun in earnest. Thanks!
Don't you early colonise Volcanoes or Ice... or are they just ignored for the time being in favor of asteroids?
Yeah... I think this was for early game, but great info Darvin3! You changed much of my early game strategy now! Thanks! -Jeremy
I think he/she wants to know how to install it.
Nominally, it could be easier to just have one computer call up the autosave for both systems. (or it might not)
There shoud be a readme file inside.
King of the hill= neutral extractor?
I abhor playing online...ONLY because of a sucky internet connection. (The people who have played me know otherwise, however)
I'd recomend (against your post req) to build a second military research structure and go for shields, instead. Armor is subject to the appropriate countering units, and hull... seems to me to be good enough, especially the faster repair (if you kite and bait your units). Is still think hull is better for your scouts, mostly because they spend most of their time in transit, and don't get attacked untill after they reach a system. Just as they enter in, they can repair w
What kind (not turtle... they just make the game boring again). However, some of these maps leave massive amounts of open paths to your empire... so Entrenchment or vanilla (1.13)?
To emulate a campain: Turn OFF system sound Start sins Goto "random huge map" Create 7 unfair AI Ally them in 2,2,2,1. Play for 3 days. There you have it! About the same length as HW2s campain (for me). Thanks! Jeremy (who wonders what flak will start homing in)
In Soviet Russia, replay post you! Never use "dumb" in a topic header... it just invites this sort of meaningless word mix to strew from here. Have fun! -Jeremy (who discovers Vista x86 and x64 give many different errors... and not always in the same language!?)
What card do you have? An Intel gma 950 can run this (the infamous '945gm' (or 945g)) on lower settings, higher resolutions. To find out what you have, (vista) (if you don't have vista, hold down the windows logo key on your keyboard, the the 'r' key, for the run box) click on start (the lower left (huge) windows logo). and type "dxdiag" click "yes" or "no" if a dialog box shows up (the driver check - kinda useless)</
