Hi there. I have the same problem, which I posted a thread about in the bugs forum. I'm using the Ultimate edition with 2.02 and although I can run scenarios using the earlier chapters I cannot get them to work at all with TOA. I've tried everything I can think off - which is not terribly much to be honest. Sorry you seem to have the same issue. I thought I was going crazy since I seemed to be the only one!
Well, it looks like it's just me then...fair enough, nothing I like better than being a special case..:) Anyways...I've been looking into this more closely. If I launch the game from either the basic GalCiv2 exe or the Dark Avatar one that are found in the root folder i can then run scenarios. Both exe files launch the game with the relevent UI, graphics etc of the chapters in question (DL or DA,) If the game is launched either from the shortcut on my desktop, or from t

I recently bought the Kalypso retail set 'Ultimate Edition' and updated it last week when the 2.02 patch became available. Since then I cannot play any scenarios. They always end in a 'Windows has ecountered an error and needs to close' type CTD. This goes for both the scenarios that came with the game and those I have downlaoded from elsewhere. Under 1.97 I had no problems at all and currently the campaigns and the sandbox mode seem to run fine. It is just the scenarios that consista

Sorry to resurrect a dormant thread but I'm having this issue as well with the Ultimate edition. The Custom ship box is always greyed out. Strangely enough it was working at first, but i've no idea why it's stopped. I've only really been playing the TA chapter and when I have looked at the other chapters I've always set it back. I've only had the game a coulpe of weeks so I imagine it's quite possible that I've changed an option somewhere.....what that might be I have no idea. <p
