Here is my belief: Most of the reviewers are used to games that are very polished and very intuitive. They are also probably used to an instruction manual and a tutorial. Let us face this fact, right now, this game has none of the above items. So, for the average casual gamer, this game will be beyond their understanding. The PC Gamer article is mostly right. This game is not as polished as it should be. Will it be a good or great game? Who knows. However, it is not something the average person should throw money into. That is their opinion and there is nothing wrong with it. If you like to throw money into this game - that is your opinion and option as well.

I will agree. If there is no advantage of a PRE-MADE versus a CUSTOM... why pick a PRE-MADE? However, many games do equalize them. Ever play the pen and paper D&D? You can get the pre-made characters for a specific scenario or make your own. Sometimes they are as good, sometimes better, and most of the time worse. It is time over effect.
