I'm not talking about sedna here or the healing ability of anyone else. Everyone compares to sedna's heal which is not comparable because she IS A SUPPORT DEMIGOD SHE IS MEANT TO DO THIS. So what if she can heal faster than oak with HOL i dont' care at all about that. I care that oak as a competent opponent with HOL and shield is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL. Not that you can't stall him but short of a triple UB stun fest i don't think he will die at any time and even then if he's quick he c
I don't think enough credit is being given to how powerful this combination is, and it is primarily because of the mana returned (total of 2700) and not the health regained. Since you will rarely ever need more mana than your opponent has health, Oak using sheild+heart of life is able to completely ignore his mana pool and focus instead of health items, since he can regenerate (and cast) all his mana while doing this trick. In effect o
Now all we need is the 2 new demigods.
I'm one of the people who actually browse the forums and love demigod to death. I play my own mmorpg (EVE-online another great game) and since i got demigod i've barely been on. I have technical issues but thats normally in menus i've never had the game crash DURING a game only while booting up menus which a 10 second control alt delete close fixes. Then i just boot back up. Great balance too. Next to supreme commander (another great game also by GPG) this games balance is the
Actually to tell you all the truth I've lost about 2 games against an HOL oak and won about 10. But thats lack of experience on their behalf. It's pretty basic on the forums. It's that one in every 10 people that worry me. The people who ACTUALLY use it well instead of some of these new players who just go on the forums and look for strategies.
I've seen 3 sedna teams sadly. They survive but creeps back up a lot. :) Sorry if you felt i was overreacting I appoligize for that. I'm suggestings a 15k base regen or 20k depending on map. Which would kill all creeps on your half and teleport all enemy demigods back to their citadel. Recapturing all flags on your side and everything. Of course if you're already that outclassed it won't matter but it could aid with a comback.
Well i lend my support to your idea. As you said above in response to me i agree with you. Imp he shall be. But the word replica to me sort of intaled some sort of mechanics involved. How about a skill called Spawn Shapeshifters. This would fit the imp-like characteristics while still invovling the magic instead of mechanical connotation.
ALl demis have an AOE skill. Sedna. TELL ME WHICH ONE SHE HAS. And i'll believe you guys are right. Silence is AoE?!? No damage. Melric as you said if your flush with money how are you goign to get the artifact flag when you have 3 enemy demigods guarding the center. And you got creeps knocking on your front door. Giants are the thing to kill. Everyonething else is pretty easy to kill minus angels (they can be harder sometimes) but does it matter if their minotaurs are dead wh

It doesn't kill everything in vicinity 2) 800 damage doesn't either 3) Even together they don't do enough to kill a giant. 4) I've found it hard to kill large groups of creeps as well and find myself with a large amount of money so i always wonder why i can't REBUY my base.
Quoting XaviorsFist, reply 23 What i'm saying is not that it's UNCOUNTERABLE. That's funny because it kind of sounded that way when you said: Quoting XaviorsFist, reply 23 BUT THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS it's impossible to counter So you'll forgive me for replying to what you actually said rather than what you (possibly) meant in your head.
This is kinda a cool idea. However I dont think It needs a new class for it. Just some of the new generals should be like this, incapable by themselves but good with hordes of their minions. And if the other skill tree was implemented it would need to be simplified it seems kinda over complicated at the moment. Plus hving to choose two abilities from 2 separate trees could be kinda annoying.
A ) New class probally would
I think that this is a great idea. But maybe it should cost you a little more more like 20k so if you have the money advantage you can do it. Plus it should regen towers then. 20k for nuke and tower regen. All enemy demigods in your half of map are teleported to their citadel. For 20k i could see this happening. It'd give you an edge that you can't buy right now. Normally once i hit a certain point i can't spend money on ANYTHING MORE. This would be useful. Call it "Blessing of the Gods"
But that would be part of the strategy. I'm not saying that the 30+ minions is a good idea. I know it isn't a good idea. As said above 12 minions WHICH IS SAME AS EREBUS. But the demigod is just more focused on them being his main form of attack. And these Commanders wouldn't do enough damage alone to kill an assassin just enough to harrass him into running. Just think if you had to chase an assassin into his towers with 1200 hp!!! You wouldn't do it. But to fix your minions from just delving
Personally i think this idea is great... brazen is right though except about the damage multiplier and recasting. I also think that the multiple spells at once would be a great idea. Except that incite paranoia shouldn't be demigod targetable use it on Giants and have that gaint prioritize the lowest health demigod in area. This player could also be mechanical using automatons for replicas that explode on death for x damage (NOT TOO HIGH). And most of what he does could be mechanical.
I'm sure people have already said this. Generals are more like assassins with priests. The only DG I see with a real minion force is erebus and he sacrifices SO much strength to get them. Now since we all already know the details to this I'm not going to elaborate. I myself bought the game thinking it would be more of an RTS not a RPG. (Not saying the game isn't great.) But the lack of strong minions is annoying. In my mind assassins should be the DPS ones with the health as it is whi
I couldn't interrupt iwth anyway. It's unstopable to stop the heal. You HAVE TO DO DAMAGE. As i've said before. YOU HAVE TO DO DAMAGE. Stun does absolutely nothing against HoL i've been stunned before by annother TB while using it and it did nothing.
What i'm saying is not that it's UNCOUNTERABLE. It probally easily is but i'm not going to screw myself later by switching to ice at level 5 just to get stun. It's a waste of time. You need a SPECIFIC BUILD that isn't good against other demigods or creeps. This effectively kills off your effectiveness. Sure you give that oak lots of crap but you sacrifice being able to fight in other circumstances. I'm also not just talking about Torchbearer here, that was just the example given. [quo
This also would be great against computers. The computer's multitasking would give it an edge over human players. And even if they had to create a special 2vs2 map for it (2vs2 is about all i would be able to handle of it) it's be worth the wait. But the amount of reworking the UI would take would make it more of a mini expansion.
Yes but the thing is as a torchbearer i can't stun unless i go ice. Then ice doesn't deal enough damage to force him to activate your just dead. And as far as i'm concerned you do have to do REAL damage to dissengage heart of life and that doesn't count something like deep freeze. Now deep freeze may stop him from using it in the first place but the point of the matter is when 2 demi's attack him this can stall enough time that it's irrelavant. And yes 6 seconds of heart of life is 1800 healt
Well i understand the wand of speed but while invinincible and while using the heart of life it isn't smart it's OP. Becuase running 2 seconds using heart of life then using invinciblility and letting it run for all 10 seconds refreshes him entirely.
Truthfully i think you possibly could switch out the wand of speed or flag capture (depending on how the game is going) and use a cloak of fire if you have the money. Adding another 800 damage and making the enemy think you have circle of fire can be a very great intimidation factor. Plus keeping other demigods at range and running (not attacking) would be great for fragile torchbearer. That or if you needed i'd also switch the boots of speed for groffeling warplate. Again if you have th
Something I've realized (we all know oak is already strong) is that when oak uses his shield. That target no longer gets HIT. It may say absorb or something but when using the heart of life it doesnt' interrupt it. I just had a game where i played against an oak who did this and with 6 seconds of shield some killer armor and me as torchbearer (low health) he was pretty much invincible. Either he could continue fighting even at 500 hp becuase shield then heart of life or he could run away in s
The thing is with capitals is the lack of damage. Entrenchment fixed that wiht multiple banks. THAT IS HOW CAPS SHOULD BE. But Stardock killed it COMPLETELY with starbases. A starbases of same cost can take out MULTIPLE CAPITALS. I say capitals do compliment a fleet but not very well balanced. There are about 3 per race that are good. The other 2 are crap. Normally 1 of those 3 if VERY SITUATION SPECIFIC. So you have 2 that you could even consider using as a general fleet unit. You have to re
I know how to fix this. Now i know i don't own the game but i follow the threads quite actively and will most likely buy the game when they come out. One things i've seen in other games is to make minions have a splash damage passive resistance. So torch bearers don't come along fire thier little ice spells kill your minions within 5 seconds and then you. I'd actually expect the generals to require GREAT micro similar to Supreme Commander just to use and make them more powerful than assassins
