Fences can take a snapshot of the configuration either on demand or on a timed basis. You should be able to use it to go back to where things were before any changes are accidentally made.

For #2 choose the sort option from the Fenec's menu and then click "maintain sorting". Assuming you have control of your PC, if you don't add a new icon to the Fence then none will be added. I'm not sure why you want the application to prevent you from doing something you have no intention of doing. You have the option of automatically sending new desktop icons to a particular fence or select by icon type: program, documents, etc.. Just make sure you se

The problem went away for me when I used msconfig to remove the DeskScapes service from the list of services run at boot time. It still starts the dream at automatically when Windows loads but no more explorer processes chewing up 100% of cpu.

If any skin is priced higher than will sell, the skinners will most likley lower prices. It's as simple as that. If they don't and you don't like the price there are many lower priced skins and free ones here for download.

My frustration with Windows backup program is none seem to have search capability. If I discover that I've deleted a file I have to try each backup set until I find the one it's on, before I deleted it. It would be nice to enter a filename and have the software search and select the most recent or all backup sets containing the file.

I finally fixed my issue by not loading the DeskScapes service at boot time. Doesn't seem to stop dreams from starting so all is well. I did not have to rllback to an earlier version.

I can see the case is a Thermaltake. Which model? And I may have missed it but how much did the system cost to build, if I may ask. I am alos upgrading my system in 2015 and am going with more modest specs, 16 gb RAM, Athlon 4 ghz CPU and keeping all my existing drives and video card, case and PSU. Even at that with a motherboard I am looking at nearly $400.
