I have downloaded several alternative dock backgrouns but none of them are available when I choose a new background. They are simply not on the list of availbale choices. After unzipping the dock background files, I moved the folders to c:\program files\stardock\objectdock\backgrounds\nontabbed, although I tried the other 2 folders under backgrounds as well. What could be wrong?

And of course as soon as I post this I go back in and find the location!
One of my favorite things about WB is the ability to have unique window buttons. Sometimes the stcok ones in the WB are not quite what I want but I've been unable to find the style option to chnage it. Does anytone know which section/sub-section of the WB editing screen pertains to the window min/max/close buttons?
The only things corrupted are the browser tabs, the tabs that let you access mulriple webpages in a single IE window. The text is unreadable.
I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Try Brasil as an example of one that shows a corrupted tab display. I just switched to it to confirm the problem. Unfortunately, switching back to Edge did not fix the display and I had to reboot to do that.
Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 4.8 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 4.8 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.2 (build 301 x86 - Vista Edition) - 64 bit OS WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC (SyncMaster 245B/245BW/245BPlus(Digital)) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT Wblind.dll 2011/02/01 15:51:20 Wblind64.dll &nb
I downloaded it because Computerworld raved about its speed. I did finally find a WB style that works -- Edge
Now that IE9 has been released (no longer beta) I thought I'd try it. Unfortunately, every windowblind I've tried with it makes a mess of the tabbed browser display. If you display the tabs seprately from the address bar they're completely unreadable. If you display them on the same line, the display is corrupted. I want to attach a screenshot but I can't find the option to upload one.
I had the same thing happen but it was when I installed IconPackager, rather than uninstall it. EVery icon that was not already part of ObjectDock disappeared! Uninstalling restored the icons but I'd like to try IconPackager. I wonder if the same registry fix will work for me on Vista and when it's installed.
I recently installed the latest Windows Blinds and noticed that I'm getting generic icons for some data files that used to show thumbnaiul previews. So far I've lost .dream and .flv file previews. The .flv files are played through Real Player. The .dream files have a nice but boring big D icon and the .flv files show the RealPlayer program icon. What happened and how can I get the previews back? I'm set to large icon preview in Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
I deleted and reinstalled the Think Green theme but it still acts the same. I love Stardock software but it often has the most annoying bugs. What in a theme, if anything, controls how windows may be stretched? Is there a key combo that when held disables that function?
Yes, regardless of whether OD+ is loaded at boot time, Think Green leaves that area of the screen blank.
The recent OD+ 2.x update fixes the incon problem.
There is a problem with the Think Green theme I have been unable to resolve. It appears to reserve a section of the screen so that I cannot stretch open windows to full screen. The full button works to go full screen but when I try to stretch the windows manually, they will only open to within a couple of inches of the bottom of the screen. The Qwest theme doesn't have this problem, neither does the standard aero theme. Before I purchase any themes I'd like to figure o
What happened to the Special Folders icon folder from OD+ 1.9x? It's not in OD+2 and reinstalling OD+ 1.9x did not restore it either.
I thought I already replied to this. The upgrade showed up in Impulse three days later.
My existing flyout menus work properly but the option to adda enw one is suddenly missing. I don't know if it was there when I first installed since I didn't immediately try to add one. I notices it was missing when I fixed the missing weather docklet problem. Is there a workaround to getting the flyout menu option? Reinstalling didn't fix the problem, nor restoring to default settings and options.
More info: This happens on my 64 bit Vista PC. I tried it on my 32 bit notebook and the icons are proper thumbnails. If I right click on the pic or folder icon and try to change the icon, I get an alert box saying: Object Dock cannot access information about this window. It is likley that it has been ran (dic) as an Administrator while Object Dock has not. Also, once I do that, I cannot use the X t
It showed up on Impluse a few days later. (I was out of town for part of the time so don't know exactly when it appeared.)
Ahh, I only now see the problem, that your icons appear layered.
Under settings, and advanced tweeks, there's an option to use high res program icons instead of windows icons. Toggle it and see what you get.
In version 1.9x, open folders and picture previews showed as their miniature versions in the dock. With 2.0, folders display as a hard drive icon and pics with some unknown generic graphic. I have the option to use thumbnials checked but I can't get the proper thumbnails to display. I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
Just purchased the update but Impluse doesn't show the new version for download. And the download likc in the email doesn't work. What gives???
I agree with you. I took the requirements as minimums, not maximums. Didn't occur to me that 32 bit meant 32 bit only, although that would be a stupid minimum since even W95 was 32 bit. "Will not run properly on 64 bit" would have been a nice disclaimer. Fixing these two minor issues would be even better. How long does it take to recompile OD+ targetting a 64 bit processor/OS?
Well almost. Still have a few more issues: 1. Using IE, if I access a site with Quick Time content, Vista switces to basic mode and drops Aero. This only happens if I launch IE from the dock. 2. Also related, if3. I choose windows update from within IE launched from the dock it always fails. 3. Chrome fails to run from a dock.
