@Zombie, I believe that is what MS is thinking. 10 million people buying = 100 million they would not have otherswise had and it's by download so it doesn't even cost them media. If you do want the DVD you have to pay 10 or 15 extra.

My company participates and I purchased Office 2007 and 2010 that way. For a while I had 2007 on my desktop and 2010 on my laptop but now both are running the same license of 2010 and update without problems. It may be because I had 2 licenses, just for different versions, or that MS doesn't care in these cases. The entire program is premised on the idae they can get people to pay $10 who might otherwise have simply taken a work company home. I was using Open Offic

The store has version 7.30.047. I used to have the left menu problem but it went away with this version. You might have to remove the reg entry first since it's probably no longer writing it. After that, try changing blinds and see if the problem's been fixed.

OK, too many issues in 7.3. I do not have the 7.2 download and don't want to go back several days on the Windows Restore. Is there a way to get the old version back from Stardock?

Run msconfig and check under the startup tab. Alphabetize by name to make it easier to find. You should see desktop X Widget. I'm not sure how to get it in there if it's not already on this list, but make sure it's enabled.

Someone suggested that the "ignore" option has never worked with cmd.exe. I thought it did before 7.3 but my memory may be faulty. Has anyone else noticed the invisible app bar when you run cmd.exe? Is it a function of what blind I use? Nevermind, I just answered my own question, it appears to be blind dependent.

I use a Thermaltake case for the system I built a few years ago. It's easy to work in. I recently upgraded both internal drives and replaced the front cooling fan without any difficulties. It has sufficient overall cooling for my quad core AMD with Radeon video card, 2 2gb drives and a DVD burner. I think I only paid $39 for it and added a side fan to the 2 internal fans, for another $15.

I was just going to post an update. For some reason the configuration window had gotten too short to display anything but the taskbar. I stretch it and it shows the full preview now.

Just noticed the WB preview no longer works properly. It only shows the taskbar preview.

I am seeing the same thing and it has nothing to do with where I click. On the same popup menu clicked from the same place some sub-menus are opening left and some right even though there is plenty of room right.

I've seen those type of pixel errors before the upgrade so I assumed they were skin specific. Maybe asmall error in the skin design has been exposed by the new WB. If you find out a setting in the blind that's causing it post it here so skinners and users can apply the change to their blinds.

Well it must be my eyes because I can't see the grid in your pic either. I have a type of color blindness that can overwhelm one color when it's surrounded by a large area of another. So if the grid line in the sheet (as opposed to the headers) is pale blue I might not see it. But I'm pretty sure I used to be able to so I'll fiddle with system colors.

I'm also seeing a Windows Explorer (almost) crash. It hangs and if I click on it I get the Vista white screen but eventually it comes back. While it's paused nothing works including ctrl-alt-delete. To RedneckDude, can you see the grid lines in Excel?

WB 7.3 is ignoring the per application "ignore" settings. I turned it off for Excel 2010 because of the statement that it had better support for Office 2010. It was worse. So I turned ignore back on and it's still causing problems. All my grid lines are invisible so the entire spreadsheet, even a blank one looks like it's on plain white paper. Toggling the gridlines on and off does nothing. Ignore is also failing for cmd.exe. Guess I'me

It has auto started for me but even with skinning turned off for Excel 2010 it has still rendered the grid lines invisible. I had turned it off when I upgraded from 2007 to 2010 because of this problem but with the prior version of WB telling it to ignore Excel fixed it. No longer. Ignore is also not working for cmd.exe. :(

Paint.net only saved the first frame of the gif when creating the png. Back to beating my head against the wall. @ DaveRI, very strange. If I choose fewer frames it appears to load and convert them but as I choose more frames the animation it creates uses fewer and fewer lines of resolution for the animation. 240 frames
