@Volt you are thinking WAY too high tech. a Nuclear Pulse Engine or Pressurised Plasma Engine (i realise there isnt much difference, but meh) could provide adequate thrust with extremely high fuel economy, meaning you could fly around all but indefinitly. it fits graphically as well as in lore and everything. the only thing is it may not function within atmo, but like we've said, there is no evidence of them operating in atmo so its irrelevant as for why they look simi

yeah, but then what we see in the resources/credits bars does not necessarily indicate all the resources within an empire. the empire has coffers, and within those coffers there is a certain amount of resources. however, when tributed, while the resources arrive, the government could use resources owned by private organisations, which would then be repayed with the resources from the other empire...

wings would increase the effeciency of thrusters to rotate the ship on a Y-axis (assuming X is left/right and Z is up/down etc) it also creates more space for fuel, ammo/batteries, and larger/more complex weaponry but back to flight design, just because there is no wind generating lift etc, does not mean wings dont serve a purpose. contol surfaces are just as important in space as in atmo, i think the wings are simply to provide more control surfaces to increase the

had some issues with minidumps also... the game would dump before the IC logo came up, so i deleted all the files in the mod folder, and unzipped the full mod version files back into the mod folder, still minidumped, but only when trying to load a map or start a new game, so then, for the heck of it, i unzipped the 0.86 patch and overwrote the files in the mod folder and it all worked. although, i had serious performance issues with the AI Horde map with pirates on and 9 AI... and im
