The computer AI's do in fact know where everything is located, resources, planets, your ships. They don't have fog-of-war, but you can actually make use of it and try getting an esp. level on them, so you can see where a ship is going to. In one way this is giving the AI a major advantage, but in the end it's the human player who can design strategies to which the AI's can't adapt to.

Great score GmOOnii. Breaking 150k under the saintly alignment is astounding [e digicons][/e] Did you yet get up to ZPA's? btw, I couldn't pass your message to Agt. Maybe you are expecting too much. The AI is bound by a set of strict patterns, which, once identified will the Human Player a huge advantage, esp. in space tactics. You are currently experiencing these. One of them is that the AI will value a defended world much higher than an undefended. Thus, he will almost everytime leave some ships in orbit, and these can be ships of any kind. Early on, it is constructors/colony ships - although there are probably resources/empty planets nearby. Hi, In case you search for a tough space-battle, I suggest you take on the "Arcea's Last Stand" tournament in suicidal difficulty. That was about the only game were I had to destroy my own planets and flee back into the asteroid belt because I couldn't hold my planets anymore. It also seems you're doing things wrong diplomatic-wise (the AI's did declare war on you....) in this instance, the "Drengin Gambit" will teach you a good lesson. That was the only game I ever lost, beca

Take up DL and start a "Battle of the Gods" Szenario. Observe the AI's Troop Transports shoot with insane speed from out of the fog-of-war directly onto your unduarded planets. How could he know they were there? The same dilemma goes for all the resources and planets on the map.... the AI knows where everything is, and this added to a strategy to built only superfast ships and avoid/circumvent all "lossy" fights, but only head towards those that are surely won will give the AI&nb

In fact it is one of the AI weaknesses to not use engines so overtly. His fleets might be maxed in attack, but at their slow pace will never be able to do damage in time. A human player can use this for his own advantage, esp. in Dl you can have fast warships that take down planetary defenders whilst your Troop Transports fly around their fleets and take their worlds. Being faster than your enemy gives you also the ability to evade his stronger ships, and reserve your strength to vital s

Generally there are two ways: Playing ZYW's (these are very fast games) or try to achieve ann insane Militaryscore by upgrading thousands of hulls to military vessels, and maybe put them under the MSBA. There are numerous threads on these topics, just search around. Judging from your MV profile, you played way too long into these games. From year 7 on there's not really much to gain anymore. Thus, you need to be fast, and this requires skill & methods.

This is because these 4 stats you see left to the milscore don't have something to do with it. The only thing that is taken into account in the Milscore are ships that have, at least, 1 ATT. Basically, the game collects the sum of all your ATT, DEF, and an increment of the HP your military ships have, and adds this to the score each turn. Note that the precise way under which this is done isn't clear knows, just that as the game progresses all your score-increments will "weigh

Sandbox and MetaVerse are mostly the same, just some minor differences (e.g. relations can't be set higher than friendly in MV) and your set of xml-files that bring the variables for the game with are checked if within their limits. That is, you can play anything in a sandbox game, mod or whatever, but in a MV game you'll be flagged if you submit such a game. The campaigns are a strict set of sandbox-games, the intital ones will limit you in the techtree, or give you an accelerated st

Sorry can't say for sure, but you can actually easily test it out. - Quicksave, and take two planets and jot down their research output. - Rushbuy that 'Training Center' on one of those planets. - Now compare if the research has been upped a] only on that planet, or b] on the other as well. If b] is the case then that bonus is civ-wide, and will also apply to all your other planets as well. If your findings doesn't suit you simply reload the quicksave :

Jim is right and I might add that the AI's don't declare war randomly (there are exceptions though... Drath SA) but when they view "hostile" upon you. The minus and plus of their system of valueing is actually shown, too, and thus gives you multiple methods at hand to do something for this. If you can't raise or compete in Military terms, then giving away one of your treaties is a major plus, as long as sending Freighters to them, and gifting them occasionally some worthless techs (*)

First time I've broken 200k in an all-rare setup, having only 3 planets at my disposal. The techscore was overhelming, and it could have been better just that I lacked tiles for labs...
