Hi! AFAIK the Dread Lords are at war with everybody automatically and unchangeably. Back in my days when DA was new it was possible for AIs to make peace with DLs. And one player posted a (likely) game glitch: when he clicked on the announcement of peace proclamation, he actually got to talk with DLs! I was able to repeat it. I don't know if that was fixed in later releases. BR, I

Saint Mina's Fleet of (picture below) 7 new Battleship Troop Carriers, carry 84,000,000 legions of troops was ambushed on the WatSeeA (who comes up with these names for the planets ) by a great War General that goes by the name of Agt. This is a pretty difficult question, and without knowing about the other stats/setup/version of your game, I might propose something that could probably not viable to you. Without any real Military the only answer can be to get out of war ASAP. Built up your planets to max pop, get some good soldiering and harvest empty hulls for a final upgrade. Usually if there are stronger AI's present in a game then it is always the best to let them fight it out until their strengths is dr
As each turn is still netting ~10k score each turn I'm probably playing this out into y1 or y2, and make use of the second submit.
Just in case somebody might wonder where my game is: Interesting to see that even y1+2 together didn't net as many points as the single y0 did - although I had 5 times more ships fully upgraded

How do I build a military starbase array?
@Maiden, can you really get only 4 starbases per sector? I never knew this. I guess I never tried this before.
Yes, it's true. And because of this, the maximum number SB's in a Military StarBase Array (MSBA) is 24. I have tried to search for methods to circumvent this many many times, to no avail. Even if you try to gift a starbase to an AI in a sector where he already has 4 bases - the game won't allow it.

You get a cheat flag applied to the game, but I dont remember a message like that.
I think what GmOONii ment is that if you hover over the cheatflag then the yellow tooltip will appear stating "detected cheat codes" LOL jack next time I submit I'll first ask kind permission from them... so they can go red alert
Hey guys, I think the forum is busted. My posts are gone and I can't read anything past reply 3846 in your Empire thread KP. I wanted to tell you that I have been looking for "detected cheat codes". I thought it is was because of the patch but in Agt Smith (Maiden666) around game 150 is "detected cheat codes" and the patche is v1.53 I also found one in Slayer-Churuff (KP) around game 64 and th
If someone can't reply to this thread then he's probably using Internet Explorer, which won't work on page 154. Changing to Firefox and/or using the reply-box in page 153 (or any other except this one here) will solve the problem. I hope this works....
Allright, 2nd try. I shall quote Shakespeare General Chang (Star Trek 6) again: "No peace in our time" The above game was played in an all-abundant setup (except rare stars) against max AI, prolonged until 12/22nd/y0. [e digicons]XO[/e] I will *never again* make a joke about shattering the MV. In northern Michigan they take your word quite too literally... Tomorrow I'll try restoring my previous post... thanks all those who commented + left Karma. It has been a short pleasure... [e digicons]X([/e]
Thanks Mumble. Printed out, too. This is esp. helpfull in techtrading, when the order has to be watched for the best-possible efficiency.
Are you doing this *in-game*? If yes, well, I ment go here: http://metaverse.galciv2.com/
Hello Doc, yes, there is. Click on the MetaVerse-button to the left, then in the next screen hover over "Account" and select "Edit my characters". This let's you delete characters as well. Ususally this is done to get a clean character - as the MV will degrade your score with every submitted game. However, I see you've not submitted any score (yet), you can therefore also only manage them, that is, change their names/pics etc. You can do this in the same screen. Hope t
Yep, scrolling doesn't work at the planet/ship-list. Not a bug. Try using the Minimap instead, or left-click hold and move into the main view. There's probably a downloadable mod somewhere. I've seen this for the "Battle of the Gods" Szenario, so why not...
but sheesh why are you trying to argue that culture flipping is better then the technique i discribed? that is not the point.
I've no interest in getting into an arguement with you. I've simply asked a single, then, another question. I didn't knew it could be a problem for you, and in case it is, sorry.
What about the 10 turn delay? using the TA MCC you could have those planets culture-flipped already...
DL is exactly as you describe. DA is a bit advanced, but not much e.g. you can't open diplomacy talk all the time etc, SuperAbilities, some added Techs... TA is a world different as a game, esp. because of the different techtree/planetary improvents. Personally I find all parts good, while playing Yor in TA is my fave. I'd give it a try. Nevertheless, glitches/bugs -whatever you want call it- are there in all three versions (in TA even new ones!) and once yo
Well, would you invest +100 constructors + an additional war + diplo penalty + a lot of research just to gain some outside asteroid mines?
My newb question: Is there an easy way to see where enemies ships are? When at war its very confusing finding where the enemy fleets are and if they are coming towards me to attack. I mean it would be nice if it was easy at a glance to tell who a ship belongs to buts its confusing. Do I really have to examine the whole map each turn or is there a way to highlight threats or something?
If you zoom-ou
One of the tricks to win a suicidal warfight. Actually people are complaining about the AI's advantage of knowing where all the resources are, but actually, this advantage becomes the players advantage when you use tricks like this. Let the AI find all the resources, but in the end you be harvesting them! You can even refine that trick by surrounding that single Fighter with other ships, and leaving only one entrance open which would be blocked by that base. The Fighter then h
If the Arceans are at war with someone, take a Fighter with enough life support on it and gift it to this other race when the ship is sitting near those Influence SBs. With a bit luck they'll be attcked....
