I bought the limited edition purely to support Stardock. However, looks like I'll get some cool stuff as well. [e digicons][/e]
The menu piece of music is awesome. I'd just like to not get overwhelmed with the same music over and over again, even if it's good. As I'll be spending hundreds of hours on the game, a little more variation would be nice.
I hope the reqs are high. I can max Elemental, no matter the reqs, with my system. So it's not a big deal to me. I'm guessing that the HP Envy 14 laptop I'm picking up soon will be able to max it as well.

Good to hear. Looking forward to further improvements to 1Z. I assume new maps will be released for Beta 2?
Quotes now work in Chrome in case anyone hasn't noticed GJ Stardock
Just quoted you in Safari on my Macbook. Wahoo!
exactly. if a reviewer gives a poor score, but includes reasoning for why its marked down, it might turn out that the reason he's marking it down is a reason you'd love to buy! i recently picked up divinity 2: ego draconis despite its lukewarm reviews, and its now one of my favourite RPGs ever.
Agreed. For example, one review dumped GalCiv2 due to no multiplayer. That made me want to buy it m
I never preorder games. I never buy full-price games. I preordered Elemental's Limited Edition, for $80. I just want to help support the most ethical game developer out there, untainted by big corporate interests. (You guys make great games too [e digicons];)[/e] ) Take your time. Really. I like Demigod, but I want this game's launch to be successful. No pirates flooding the servers or anything like that. I wish you guys good luck. And Brad, I actually had a bit o
Not that fun yet. I start to get excited, about tech or exploring or a quest or something, and then a gamebreaking bug pops up and spoils all my fun. [e digicons]:'([/e] But boy am I gonna love this game by Beta 3 or 4.
Yup, there's been at least 1 other topic about this bug already. Observed it myself.
I've been unable to access the treaties menu even when I have treaties. I've been unable to make a non-agression pact no matter what I do, so I can't pass through foreign territory.
I hate it when a quest is out of my area of influence, and I have to pass through another kingdom's territory, and they won't let me, even when I have the pact researched. Or when I can just barely pass by, and when I return to my kingdom, their territory has grown, and I'm stuck, so I have to declare war just to get my king back.
Escape Velocity on the Mac, 10 years ago. A classic 2D space RPG. People bought Macs (of all things) just to play it. I spent 1000+ hours on that game (including plugins) over 5 years, as well as the 2 sequels. The Age of Empires series got me as well. Put at least 300 hours into the series.
I had one game where I built a city right next to that gems deposit by the southeastern lake. Couldn't send my pioneer through the city to get it. He couldn't even leave it after stationing in the city. Similar stuff happens when there's no way around a city. You have to garrison, and then let them out the other side. It seems, too, that units don't leave a city right now to it's borders, but one or two squares away. Hence why that nice tile was unaccessible.
I have 2 units rescued, just sitting in my cities as per the quests. Nothing happens, and they each cost me 0.5 gold per turn. [e digicons]:([/e]
Go to the Impulse menu, and select the option that shows pre-release versions. I assume your credit card was charged today?
While I'd like to see Beta 2, I'll have to agree with Trollboy this time. [e digicons];P[/e] I've spent 2 hours on the Beta so far, and we are definitely not ready for multiplayer. Freezes and blank maps are a few of the bugs I've experienced so far.
Just got my credit card charged! (I think), or at least my receipt.
They've already said that they're using their new Impulse Reactor. http://frogboy.impulsedriven.net/article/378128/GDC_2010_-_ImpulseReactor_is_revolutionary
LOL Frogboy. [e digicons][/e]
Online (for the next hour)
That doesn't quite work. What if you get a higher-level city just for all the farms you want to cram into it? Transportation should be linked to a combo of level, population, and # of farms.
This week was my spring break, So I would have been free. But I'll still be able to test it during my first week of spring quarter, as the work is always light the first week. Thanks Frogboy! [e digicons][/e]
