I'm starting a protest movement against Start Buttons. Calling it "Start Buttons? Nuttin Buttons!". They're easy to skin, too.
I went without a start button for quite a while. I love the minimalistic look.........and surprisingly, I never forgot where it was!! [e digicons];P[/e]
Happy Birthday Frogboy!!!!! How many more till you're FrogMAN? [e digicons];P[/e]
Yes, rainmeter is very in depth and there are a lot of options. However, I usually just edit skins that others have already made. It's easier this way, and it's also a way of slowly learning the code. Rainmeter is just great, the possibilities are endless. You might also want to just download some of the more popular rainmeter skins from deviantart because some of the artists actually write explanations of all of the code in the skin itself. I have found objectdock to be fairl
Wow Brian, you're making progress quickly!! Ugh, I wish I had your work ethic...... [e digicons];P[/e]
I like your style Skillet. Everything is very clean. I'll be sure to watch progress of this one [e digicons][/e]
Wow, I'm glad I saw this in the forums.......I didn't even know about this. Pretty cool, and very useful. [e digicons];)[/e]
Happy Birthday Hankers!!! [e digicons][/e]
Happy Birthday!!! [e digicons]\o/[/e]
Ah yeah, I love CD Art Display. There's a great gallery over at DeviantART, if you're looking for some good skins. I like not having to deal with the stupid itunes UI. [e digicons];P[/e] CAD Gallery - http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/media/cad/?order=9
Wow!! This skin has come a long way!! It looks amazing! I really like that start button too!! Nice work Mirsguy! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
I don't know about adding more DNA to a cell...........Excess DNA would mean more genes, which would have to be placed on another chromosome, and when there is an extra chromosome, bad things happen. Chromosome 21 or even just a part of it (that's one more than normal) is what causes downs syndrome. I don't want to live forever with downs syndrome. Also, almost every single cell in the human body is replaced every year, so it would seem really tedious to somehow replicate that action or ensur
It's going to happen anyway. It's probably one of the easier things we could do with our DNA too. It's just a matter of adding extra material to our DNA so it can continue to split.
I realize it's probably (tragically) going to happen because most things we do are mindless. However, it's much more complicated than just adding a synthetic helicase enzyme to our DNA. Also, if you want to suggest something that helps cells divide, that's probably cancer. The tricky part of
Stopping aging would be the worst mistake humans could make........unless we leave this planet. We are already overpopulated, stopping aging or allowing endless life would be torture for anyone who lives on this crowded, barren, stressed out planet. Improving already living organisms is one of the most popular areas of research today. You should look into nanoparticles, synthetic viruses, stem cells........ect. Now that the human genome has been decoded, there's all kinds of
God probably wants us to kill ourselves with those tools, because while only being here for .0059% of Earths history, we've managed to mess up everything else he's created. I'm not sure why he's waiting so long for the next mass extinction, so he can start over again.
Great advice
Definitely. You're right about the nitty-gritty stuff, it's not as exciting to do. Also, I'm doing some more work on the dock and icons now. I'll get back to the blind next week. Thanks for all the support Brian [e digicons]:sun:[/e]
There are many other hominid species which have gone extinct that would be useful. For instance, I know there was a hominid species in Africa which had a much better bone structure than we do. I can understand using the genetic makeup of these species to our advantage, but cloning seems like it's unnecessary at this point. Also, there are other species we could concentrate on for our benefit. For example, most fish create their own electromagnetic field and rely on that more than sight
I kind of lost motivation to do this halfway through this quarter. I have final exams this week, so maybe I'll try to finish it up in the next few weeks. After looking it over, I need to make a few changes too. I'll keep this thread updated.
Plasmid Fusion Lapis is a really good wall
I know, right?? His work is just amazing.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - HAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Happy Anniversary ya big ol' one eyed, yella-bellied prairie dogs!!!! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
I saw that too...........I wonder if it's any good.........the previews make it look like it's worth a try. Edit: I'm using it now - There are some great looking themes, lots of cool animations, but some windows 7 features can't be used (like jumplists and preview windows). Overall, pretty cool, but I'm gonna stick to more simple themes (personal preference).
Bummer. Well I'm still going to release my trillian skin..........someone might want it. I think the timing of the project was the only issue. If this one can't take off, I look forward to the next one. [e digicons][/e] It was a cool idea too.
Yeah, I have the same problem. I took steps to have my registrations emailed to me, however they weren't the updated versions.
