Thanks, I'll drop them an e-mail.
Thanks, transitive, I found it now. Does snyone know why the forums on the website are different from the forums here on Impulse?
I feel like such a moron.[e digicons]x_x[/e] I can't find the strategy forums. *sigh* Anyone have a web address? Thanks
I certainly hope the mysteririous 'Threat to the Vasari' will appear in an expansion. Apperaing as a new faction does seem like the best option. I think something dark and creepy..... hmm.
DEFINITELY NOT: Zerg or Aliens rip-off organic beasts, BuckCraft "young hero punk hungry for power gets corrupted by said power and turns on former allies" plotline (and I use the term in the very loosest of literary senses... uhh... stickys? [e digicons][/e] dumb question, I know
No problem, glad to keep other players 'Sinning' [e digicons][/e]
A previous save game, or a new game? If you had the game before the latest patches came out a couple of days ago, your old save games might be invalid. There was a warning about that in the change logs.
'nother thought[e digicons][/e] A couple of people talked about each race have a distinct play style. Very true. If the Vasari are giving you alot of trouble, see if a different race fits you style better. There's alot to explore in Sins, something should fit.
I gotta agree with the overall theme here. I do not, repeat do not think the Vasari are weak at all. I play TEC and I HATE takeing them on in late game, even AI. To win you simply have to have superior numbers and firepower, AND micro to destroy all the caps with the cool powers. And the Orkulus Star Base is a freakin pain to kill, cause it just chases you fleet around the grav well. Vasari are not a weak race.
Does it just not start at all and come up with the standard windows 'We're sorry, this program experienced a problem and had to shut down, blah blah blah' window? This happend to me and I just went to the start menu and created a shortcut foe entrenchment on my desktop. It runs fine from the shortcut. I think it's something to do with Impulse, but I'm not techy, so I don't know.
Under fleet commands in the lower right corner of the screen is a button that says "auto-join". If there is a little arrow chasing itself in a circle, it's activated, right click to toggle the activation. If you have a fleet sitting in the grav well with your factory, you might try doing the same thing with the fleet. I'm not sure here, as there is no option to build ships with auto join already turned off, but that might stop units from joining that fleet. Hope
https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/downloads.aspx That takes you to the download page on the official Sins site. Maps, mods, replays, tools to make maps and mods, screenshots, and wallpapers. Have fun!
Very well put transitive, I've been playing this game for several months and light firgate balance didn't make sense until I saw, "light frig -> carrier -> long range -> [wrap around to light frig]." One of the things I wish we had for the game was a unit balance chart so it would be easier to see for us visual learner people.
Elrosh, i have to dissagree with you on that, because (my thinking) is that its a game, and games are suppose to be fun, but if you focus too much on just winning (yes winning is defantly a fun multiplier in most cases) to the point that your not having fun, then you have just defeted the point of the game, to have fun and entertane yourself for hours.
An excelent point. I have to agree with Elrosh a bit too, though. It is incredibly annoying when people qui
I know this issue is on the list for Ironclad to fix, I'm just wondering if anyone has heard a time frame for ut. Or anywhere I can look for one, or talk to someone from Ironclad. Thanks
All very good advice, transitive. I don't know if you play multi-player, beastyboiz, but I've just started that and found the strategies are alot different than I would have thought. Even fleet composition doesn't work quite the same way. I mainly play TEC and have found having one huge fleet and a small defence fleet, like transitive said, is the best way to go, though I usually wait til later in the game to build the defence fleet. And deffinitely keep as many caps t
Isn't the most fuel used up on takeoff? If we are talking space, then a launch catapult using something similar to the gauss tech would give fighters enough of a jump start to not use so much fuel on lift off. Then again, there is the extra fuel usage for manuvering because there is no air to use against control surfaces, and braking.... hmm. Just thinking out loud (so to speak).
I'm not the best to ask for map making stuff
WHAT??? Something in this game that you don't have encyclopedic knowledge on!?! LOL. You seem to give the right answer for every other question I've seen you post on. [e digicons]:P[/e]
A question for Annatar11 on this, would it be possible to change the starting positions on this map usisng the galaxy forge3?
I kinda new to the game, only been on the forums for a few weeks. But it seems to me that strike craft are a bit of a touchy subject. I had a thread talking about them too, and pretty much the same thing happened. Anyway, I thought you had some good points and certainly put some thought and common sense on to your ideas. Personally, I like to see well thought out ideas simply because it means someone is thinking about the game instead of just suggesting another super u
Really? I've got the one where you're supposed to destroy some ungodly amount of strike craft, and I don't think there were that many in the game, total. Same with the one with destroying the civilian vessels.
I don't know how long you've been playing multi-player, Agen of Kharma, but I just started this week. Let me tell you, I get my own entrails fed to me every time! [e digicons]o_O[/e] I just finished a 1 vs 1 game last night where I had more planets, better income rate, higher fleet score, decent research, AND I STILL LOST! ANd yeay, this guy was Advent as well. Ah, well, eventually I'll get better, though it did take a couple of hours for him to finally finish me
The achievements are cumulative. They add up from game to game. Except for the ones like "Own every kind capital ship at once".
