Thing is if you get into programming you should have one syntax language, one you specialize in and a ton of languages you understand. It's best to start with the syntax language and I'd say C++ is really good for this, the syntax has similarties to very many languages and it will be useful to know for both linux and windows sides. Easy to move to java, c, c# and I also found delphi rather easy. Another + is the amount of libraries you can find for c++ since it's so well established.<

For me I think I have issues with comparing one game to another in the same genre, a few examples: Diablo, I never thought a game would surpass the fun and longevity of it, I was wrong. Diablo II blew away my expectations and now I find the first one lackluster, the problem? Every similiar game like D2 is just shit, worthless junk that I can't stand. Sacred, Titan Quest and some I can't even remember the name of now, totally fucking useless they don't even come close to the feeling of
Lets see.... you are whining about digital download services.... ye right for some people this is a godsend and I want as MANY as possible of em out there, even if it's just one game per service. Postal orders is 5x and heading to a store which is 50km at least away is 10x more unreable in terms of availability for me. Concerning longterm service, I must say I don't care really I don't usually touch 3+ year old games that much. Of course there are games like WC3 and D2 which I tend to pull ou

If you have only 1 teleport scroll on you, you can teleport back and buy a new one and instantly teleport back to the battle and be healed without having to wait for the normal cooldown.
I'm up to like 8k+ crits against tower with the beast now, it's mainly 3 items + enrage thing on beast. So the gold cost insn't that bad. Full build would give 9k crits vs towers and for some sick reason I was doing like 1k aoe non crits due to something at the same as I was hitting 2-3k normals on demigods. Do note I hit like 3 times per second, this was without the 2 most expensive items as well since the game ended too fast after I started ripping towers in 3 seconds.
Lets not forget the artifact shop is controlled by a tactical flag. So if you get owned (feed them gold) + don't own the artifact shop it's your own fault and deserve to lose.
Like one above also said you only need it for a few seconds and I think the default cap time is waaay too fast unless I haven't been using the default setting.
Just make a icon above your friendly demigods that will stay ontop of everything else and clicking it would select the demigod, however it should be toggleable
I get the whole idea of anyone being able to connect with any kind of settings but would it be possible for you enable lan play in the beta so we could test it over hamachi with closer friends until you manage to get the true system working? If you do manage to get that system works, hats off to you if I ever wore one.

Basically it's a cheap term for we failed at making the networking system work well enough to support everyone. I know for that I have a friend who has no problems with ANY other game but this game just refuses to work at all in multiplayer for him, he can't host, he can't join, his games d
Quoting CyberMage, reply 7In ALL versions of the Beta, for the past 5¾ months, I have never, ever, succeeded in joining a game, even though I can have other people join my games when I host. (I enjoy a very fast and stable Internet connection (high-speed cable).) We've only had Internet multiplayer in for about a month and a half. Today we had a big stress test and were able to get plenty of 5 on 5
So me and my friend.... I've never had a single problem connecting, and I have played a ton of games with my friend ranging from internet hosting to hamachi emulation and never had a single problem. But he can't connect to any game in demigod nor will his games go to the master list for games while it works fine for me.
Imo the recipe system in dota is crap, it takes time and all it does is add items that you could just have buyed instantly in a normal store with the combined gold. In one sense the good part of it is that you get the upgrades from worse items until you get the big badaboom one but I really never liked having to run back and forth buying one piece at a time and finally being able to upgrade.... not to mention what a chore it is once your inventory is almost full. If anything a shop upgrading
A game where the ai is challenging without cheating you say, hmm.... I see 3 options: 1. A monkey can play the game at it's maximum 2. Time machine 3. The player is just really crap
One thing I'd like to point that hasn't been mentioned is that the PS3 was released almost one year later than the 360 so in my eyes I think the 1080 fight is a bit stupid. Back when the 360 was released there were almost no 1080 TVs, the pure thought of myself even purchasing a 1080 tv then is suicidial. I bought a 720 TV just before I bought a 360 and now I could probably get 2-3 1080 TVs for the same price, and I think I remember saying something about the DVD and HD outputs being decision
I'll just confirm this as well, has happened once or twice. One time I remember it clearly was my first game, thought I first had confused myself on which team I was on.
Get a cheap laptop or something equivalent, problem solved with even more utility

Being an xbox owner, I'm pretty damn happy.Hey, that's pretty neat. This may be the first FF that I'll play in years. Is it going to be a sequel for anything, or is it completely stand-alone in it's "own" setting, as FF tends to be? It is cvompletely stand-alone and just for everyone's ow
Strange my cursor only goes just outside visible range but that's as far as it goes towards the right, it never crosses to the second monitor.
On all display resolutions the item tooltips from the character screen and equipped items in store display have the tooltip moved to the topleft corner so I can only see the bottom texture with no text. Idols and consumables work fine, just items. Oh and the tooltips on the items before you buy them are fine, it is a wee bit annoying have to remember what each item has for an icon. Anyone else that can confirm this, since it might be due to a bit old drivers but that would just be wei
Tooltip on Mark of the Betrayer debuff (Bottom left above mana bar) says "Will take and....." should be "Will take damage and...".
Yeah I actually found the post a bit later saying it was similiar to SupCom and I also noticed as you said it's buggy..... IMO it's very buggy =/
If for some reason this is already in the game I'm very sorry but I really couldn't find it, this coming from a lazy DotA player where I just click attack move and queue up my moves while I ponder something else. The queueing I can live without but attack move would help so much, atm I'm just annoyed having to constantly move up to groups of enemies -_-
Please do not try to achieve Blizzard's PVP balance in this game where some classes do not stand a single chance in 1vs1 vs certain classes. If there is a class that has a very low chance of killing another and you have a very high chance of BEING killed then I suggest improving something to make it so that it's harder to kill the first class for that second class. As long as you can at least survive and don't have to constantly get totally raped by something like melee vs ranged then things
I suggest you check out DotA AI maps for WC3 actually, I'm quite amazed how well those AI work from just scripts in the map editor. And they work with like 20-30+ heroes, looking at the fleeing technic there it's a bit overboard at the start since they tend to fall back quite a bit from just being hit once but later on they'll stop doing that. If a structure is getting hit they'll go def, if the base gets hit multiple of em will go defend. They also group up and masspush or ambush single play
