yeah. you can tell advent slightly love their caps.
crashmatusow
build 4 star bases and fully upgrade them with SC hangars. works esp. for advent. OR combat upgrade 4 SB's and put each one over a phase lane. if there are less than 4 then put some where ships arrive from other stars. have a fleet there to help with assault cruisers.
There should be noticeable differances in appearance when you upgrade a SB. There is. for TEC. the lasers. everyone else got screwed because TEC are getting all the camera time(look at the entrenchment new units trailers).
why not just use bombers like the devs more or less intended for orky's? even anti-structure cruisers get eaten up by orkys. ooooh, lemme guess. your next argument. But what if he has a fleet i have to face down AND an orky?. well vasari are nice and mobile. move the fight to the other side of the gravwell. pretend you are going to jump and then turn around and eat his fleet. This whole argument is ridiculous. if the massively awesome vasari that everyone wants
shield mitigation is a percent reduction of damage taken. so fully upgraded advent shields provides extra 4% damage reduction. yeah. helpful. they also get a culture bonus of up to 6%...advent caps can get up to (i believe) 85% at level 10 with full upgrades, kinda sick really.
Quoting crashmatusow, reply 6 1. have you ever taken on an upgraded advent starbase? can guarantee that thing will sting like none other.Orkulus out of reach -> frontal shield deflectors -> stinging turns into tickling. Quoting crashmatusow, reply 6 not to mention tec can crank out a fleet like none other--what started out as a grav well full of tactical structures can t
dont forget the nifty report button. right next to the karma button, in fact.
Unless Entrenchment changed this value, the Deliverance provides a 15% bonus to damage output (this goes for anything from strike craft to capital ships), not 25% as previously stated.
it changed it. all superweapons did(pretty sure novalith's pop cap reduction wasn't there before.)
hehe, seems advent are the only race capable of a non-capital counter (repulse) :P :P :P :P :P
hp pavillion dv5. so yeah not a lot of room for power stuff. but it works great for what it really needs to do. (visual studio, expression studio). also happens to be able to run sins quite nicely. :) and no windows 7 wasn't standard ;) did everyone else run the longest tests possible?

funny thing about disciple for advent....they can transfer to structures. sound worthless? AM rechargers cannot recharge structures. guess what they can restore though? my emphasis about repulsion was interrupting jumps. as in stopping the charge up part.
tbh as far as flak vs LF are concerned, i view flak as LF's big brother. obviously flak canot kill bigger ships and LF cannot kill SC(directly), but as far as the two versus each other, the tech level if nothing else, and also the mere stats of the the flak, make it superior; enough so that even if LF's are hard counter they are not hard enough for anything less than 1:1 ratio for sure.
thought the SB added 30%. weird.
hmm...pretty sure caps didnt affect max allegiance. and the number of stations affect the amount of culture; if you build a broadcast station at a planet that is getting slammed by enemy culture, it doesn't immediately become safe.
are you really sure LF is a counter to flak. i know that defense vessel vs. Disciple vessel, the defense vessel shows twice the damage on the infocard, and has i dont know how much more health/shields. LFs, soft counter yes, but i don't think hard counter...
omg awesome mod great work.
he meant it has a minimum of 1024x768. Try validating your sins install in impulse.
repulsion doesn't interrupt phase jumps.
why did you buy 4 GB ram with a 32bit OS?
YES RTS is a different animal. Most people who play RTS like to play against AI excusively because they will always win
or because they don't want to put up with all the stupid bullshit that the dev's never get around to fixing/balancing and that all the pre-pubescent lifeless 12 yr olds love to exploit. why the hell did they turn halo 3's rocket launcher into an anti-personnel weapon?
because it was almost impossible to find them with scouts without running over them. with predictable results. they tried it during the beta.
they act like other SC in terms of moving & docking & such. they do not attack except by laying theirselves(and that involves moneyz and a 30 second activation time during which they are vulnerable).
1. yes. 2. the mines. they don't have guns like other SC.
First question-yes. Light frigates are a hard counter to carriers, support cruisers, and (i've heard) flak. make use of their antimatter draining abilities against carriers and support cruisers. Start wtih the mothership, it gives you cheap upgrades. build a few disciples and try to take surrounding asteroids first, maybe also volcanic and ice planets when your MS levels up. prioritize its colonize ability, followed by shield restore.(late game additional progenitors can go ma
