vasari superweapon is kostura cannon, temporarily disables and damages everything in orbit except sb's and turns the planet into a temporary phase stabilizer.
crashmatusow
only problem with sabotage, is how do you make it work against advent? the dude will get mind-F***ed if he even looks at sensitive equipment funny-like.
can guarantee that fighters do far more damage to sieges & LRMs than bombers. think also colony caps. Flak have high resistance to fighters. LF's are also fairly resistant to SC.
IIRC, you cannot even target a pirate base directly with a deliverance engine because it doesn't have population. Maybe I'm confusing it with uncolonized planets, but I seem to recall being unable to use my deliverance on a pirate base. Unless deliverance culture is somehow different from regular culture, it won't "defeat" the pirate base, either.
it can be targeted directly. just won't do any good in terms of its allegiance.
finest hour+adaptive focefield? i seriously want to know how the hell that kol survived.
On point #2, I think strike craft in general need to diversify their targetting. It's not a problem that fighters prioritize other SC, but rather that every fighter does so. When selecting their target, they should split up their firepower appropriately. You don't need 30 squads of fighters to chase down 2 squads of bombers. I can tell my units to focus fire on a cap if that's what I really want, but telling dozens of squads
I think this tactic is flawed, Pirates have sisge frigates in the gravity well, right? so the moment you colonize it, they will turn on "their" base.
they don't, unless raids have been accumulating there and not leaving. but yeah you guys are right about culture, doesn't affect pirates. mind, eyes of the converted still works on 'em, but you can't knock out the base with culture.
anyone ever tried casting vengeance on an SB? vertigo is also applicable to assault cruisers hint hint...30% increased cooldown time for weapons...
fighters actually do more outright damage per pass than bombers against frigates. try it with a carrier cap when you grab your initial colonies. first try, with all bombers, second try with all fighters. once again, flaks are the exception. bombers do better against those. just because the bomber has heavy weapons doesn't mean it does more damage.
It's a different ability completely, you can compare it all you want to Reverie, but the fact remains that if you attack the reveried capital ship, the ability goes away. There's nothing that can be done about ion bolt.
perserverance ^_^
How could someone not have IE7? It's built into XP and if you don't keep yourself updated you're only asking for security problems. I never use IE7 except for one site that requires it, but I sure make sure I'm up to date with it. Frankly you are very dumb for not keeping it updated.
got me. microsoft even allows critical updates for even pirated versions of windows. *oops* its also amazing that all t
All you would need after the economy one would be an influence one and then you have.... Gal Civ 2
played advent lately?
let me put it this way...fighters do several times as much damage as bombers to frigates (except flack obviously).
ffighters are actually far better against frigates than bombers.....except flack
so much demigod coverage on the sins forum...and nothing from the sins devs...
crappy target choices. 200 advent bomber squads should've nailed that ship on the first pass. i'm guessing he didn't target the frontmost?
Hey guys. I don't think N3rull knows that other ships (such as ships with less than 6 armor) can be hit with nano disassembler. Let's not tell him and see how long he takes to figure it out!
i'm going to have to admit that made absolutely no sense to me. ships with negative armor take increased damage, i believe. whats the point?
umm...where'd all the IC devs go? haven't seen a post from them forever. caryying out there mad schemes of a pink space pony inunduated second expansion for sins? whats going on?
Um, has anyone ever noticed that the Marza is a "Dreadnought", which in itself states it is a more powerful ship then a Battlecruiser, Battleship or carrier...maybe I'm just silly that way, but..you think maybe it was called this for a reason?
a dreadnaught is defined as an all big guns ships...more powerful is a relative term.
You know what people always said? "It's the 'human' element, the 'human struggle' that I like."
hey! back off! you have no idea how hard it is to push the button! LULZ ^_^
the health shown on the infocard does not account for armor. and sins has always handled percent reductions greater than 100 a little funny anyway. (see vasari SB front reflector. 200% damage reduction. huh?) just wondering, why are u all writing in italics? my guess would be some stray CSS
This is virtually impossible, but with 3 lvl 6 Akkan ships you can chain Armistice nonstop. This means you can go ANYWHERE you want, or to permanently shut down any fleet you want to camp. Definite game ender right there.
unless, of course, that fleet is in its own system with friendly PJI's, then they can just run.
I've actually made my own browser. It's not as good as firefox so bragging rights aren't the point
gee, you mean you know how to use the toolbox in visual studio?
i've had them quit on a multi-star map before i even moved into their main system.
where would they get all the labs for all that?
