Many games are REQUIRING DX11.
And in a couple of years when the games that require DX11 are on sale I might consider upgrading at that point. I've lost interest in paying 50+ for a game that sales out for half that in a year.

Still running great. i7 860 8GB RAM GTX 260 I don't see any reason to upgrade for the next couple of years. You'd better start plannig to upgrade your video card. Because teh DX11 train has left the station and you'd better be on board.
lol, why?
Got a problem, after I downloaded this mod after not playing this mod in such a long time, the Cylon and Colonial races are missing from the mod... I downloaded the Full version (500mb+) and its all in there except the 2 most important things of this entire mod lol... It has all the default races but not those 2. Are they in a separate download?
I can't upload BSG to moddb due to content
Hmm, maybe it has something to do with the fact I usually import .obj. I guess I'll try saving in XSI and reloading next time.
This is a problem with some *.obj files. Exporting the model to XSI or LWO and re-importing will work around this issue.

Planets can be set to use specific skyboxes.
I thought that was in Stars... Planets can add scalars to the texture...

I'm not sure what exactly you described above... but in Gimp if you want to edit a specific channel you need to decompose the image to RGBA layers. Then when you are done editing the individual channel layers you then recompose the layers. The Decompose/Recompose options are under Colors->Components menu.
