If this error looks familiar, you may be missing a component of Windows Vista necessary to run the game: Games Explorer. This is most common if you're running a custom, stripped-down version of Windows Vista with Games Explorer removed from it. An easy way to check to see if you have it on your system is to simply type Games Explorer into the search field on your Start Menu. If nothing comes up with that name, then you'll need to Repair/Rein
Some freezing/crashing/slowdown issues are being caused by an audio conflict. The developers are aware of the issue and are working on a solution for it. There are a few things you could try that have worked for many people on the forums. First, make sure your audio drivers are completely up to date. Second, go to the audio settings in the game and turn off the Reverb option. Third, go to the Windows Control Panel and open your
What type of connection is provided by your ISP(cable, dsl, etc...)? I ask because you mentioned it is a 'company line' and some multi-line business connections could be sharing between multiple IP addresses which can cause connection issues.
Something you might want to try: Turn the sound in the game down to the low quality setting and turn off reverb. Set your Windows Control Panel sound options to Stereo(if it isn't there already). We've had several people now reporting that increases their game performance.
Pop the balloon.
We've had some people saying that turning your audio settings to Stereo in the control panel will help with some performance issues. If anyone else has tried this, please post your results whether positive or negative.
What sound are you running? Most people that have had this issue it has to do with the sound. Try running the demigod.exe with the /nosound command at the end. A work around I discovered was that if I set my sound to stereo from quadraphonic/5.1 I no longer had this issue. Others have had success as well.
Yes, we've had some people saying that turning your audio settings to Stereo in the control panel will help with some performance issues. This issue is being worked on for a new build update to the game. Please be patient.
Can you please follow this link in Internet Explorer: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/enumerate_startup.bat save the file, run it, and attach the log file (named startup.log) it generates on the desktop to a return e-mail? Can you also please go to Start->Run(or Start Search in Vista) and type 'dxdiag' and hit enter. Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output file (called DxDiag.txt) in an email to: support@stard
We always appreciate new ideas. There are some things we can do here at Stardock, but some things require a new build from GPG. I assure you though, we're always reading your suggestions. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Yeah, I'd have to say I've had some epic battles where I've lost track of where key people are in the fray.
Demigod does not have GOO implemented in it.
It's better but still being worked on. Make sure you've read this post(if you haven't already): http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345345
Have you tried this in Internet Multiplayer?

I would check this out if you haven't already: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345345
(not so) wild guess says it's your CPU...
I would have to agree. Even though its clock speed exceeds the minimum requirement, Celeron processors really aren't intended for gaming.
look at the benchmarks on the ATI HD4830($80 USD) don't know much about it but it can't be terrible.
I run one of those at home; it plays Demigod beautifully. :)
